Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats
Today's photo prompt is
The Slide
We cautiously approach the slide
It sure doesn't look very wide.
It looks like it's been here for many winters
Will our furry butts get splinters?
We're not sliding down on our seats.
How about we go for treats?
Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We are so amazed and THANKFUL that Sawyer came home. He's been home for over two weeks now and that makes us very happy. We're also THANKFUL that Mom managed to be one of four firsties on Teddy's Tuesday Teaser and won us this badge.

Concats on being a fellow 'firstie'! What fun it is every Tuesday Morning!
Your poem is cute, and it fits with our sentiments, too...
Mmm, who would you ask to remove a splinter from your butt?
That was a fun sliding poem gang and your Mom is sure on an early roll over at Teddy's place. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Excellent poem...I thought it looked like a hollowed out log too. Imagine that type of slide in today's world.
Hugs Cecilia
That was a fun poem, but that slide looks anything but fun - MOL!
The slide in the photo certainly wouldn't pass any of today's playground codes, that's for sure!
I love your poem. Well done and I'll go get a treat with you.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. ♥
Dad says he would try the slide, back in the day, but we agree treats are the way to go
It looks like a really scary slide. I wouldn't go down it for sure and Mom says while she USED to love slides, she thinks this one would have been a bit of a challenge just getting up the ladder!
Hugs, Teddy
