The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Before Periwinkle and Stinky start their Adventure we want to thank Ann from Zoolatry for our FABULOUS holiday header.  Isn't it great?

Periwinkle felt like this was the longest Tuesday she ever had.  She paced back and forth in front of the Teleportation Tunnel excited that Stinky was FINALLY on his way.   With the usual WOOSH, he tumbled out of the Tunnel with a puzzled look on his face.  After whisker kisses and paw pats, Stinky said "Why am I here at night?  Usually, our adventures are during the day!"   Periwinkle said she had something super special planned for their adventure.  She took his paw and they went out to Periwinkle's Mom's car for their adventure.

A couple of blocks from Periwinkle's house Stinky shouted out "OH MY COD, look at that giant reindeer!"   Periwinkle explained that this was part of their adventure.  They were going to drive around and see the Christmas lights.   Periwinkle's Mom stopped the car and the two got out to see the blow-ups!

Of course, Stinky had to run-up to the top of the reindeer.  "Stinky,  please get down, you're scaring me and we have lots of other stops to make" said Periwinkle.  Slightly embarrassed by his behavior, Stinky came down and got back in the car with Periwinkle.  Perwinkle knew he felt bad and told him she thought he was very brave to climb up that high.   Stinky smiled and was pleased that he didn't disappoint Periwinkle.

They drove by lots of impurressive lighting displays and then both gasped when they saw Santa on a rooftop!  Stinky hoped Santa didn't see him on the reindeer!

They stopped to visit a display with Mary and Joseph and Baby Jesus...

They found another house with tons of blowups

They took a selfie with them by the blowups and wondered if anybody would notice they were real!

"This is so much fun, I can't wait to see where we go next" said Stinky.  Perwinkle explained that they were going to The Christmas Street.   She could see that Stinky was confused.  She said that there is one street where everybody decorates and it is super pawsome.  "Raz told me that Mom and Dad used to come here every year.  On Christmas Eve they put out luminaries and everyone walks the street.  People who live there have snacks and there is live music and Santa comes to one of the houses so the children can visit him before he starts his travels around the world."  She was glad they were with her Mom because this was the first time her Mom could visit the street since Dad went to Heaven.

Perwinkle showed Stinky the donation box that is always out for people to donate to MS.

"Wow Perwinkle, there sure is a lot of holiday spirit in your little city" said Stinky.   "We have one more stop before home" she replied.  As they pulled up to the next house they were speechless!  "MOL I wonder what their electric bill is" said Stinky.

The two tabbies returned to Periwinkle's house where they took some photos with Perwinkel's decorations.

They went inside and had some snacks and visited with Periwinkle's siblings and Mom for a bit.  Before Stinky had to go Periwinkle told him she wanted to show him a video that her Mom took the previous week.  Stinky was in awe because it was Santa on a fire truck!

It was time for Stinky to head home.  They shared whisker kisses, hugs and paw pats.  Stinky told Periwinkle he was really in the Christmas spirit and thanked her for the tour of decorations.  "Stinky, the best part of Christmas and every day is having you for a boyfriend" said Perwinkle.  Stinky said he felt the same way.   With one more whisker kiss and a WOOOOSH, he was on his way home.  Periwinkle decided to take a nap under the tree and dream of her wonderful boyfriend.

What a wonderful adventure that was!! You'll be dreaming of all those pretty lights! When we used to visit DC at Christmastime, there was a neighborhood all alight but your area is spectacular!

Your new header is gorgeous!

That was fun. Mom wishes she could have taken Periwinkle and Stinky on the bike tour of lights, but Dad said it was too hard to ride and take photos at the same time. We are really happy Stinky did not get in trouble for climbing on that Reindeer, and especially happy his claws didn’t pop it! Mom Sharon sure was nice to drive them around to see the lights. Sending lots of purrs and hugs. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet with oodles of whisker kisses and love to Noelle from Sawyer

Stinky was quite brave to climb that reindeer! My Mom and Dad will do a lights tour probably next week. What a GREAT adventure.
