Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats
Today's photo prompt is
We decided to do a Haiku today:
The old country store
They knew everybody's name
It's not like that now
Mom says it's very impersonal shopping now in most stores. Our little Publix store is one of the few places where "everybody knows your name" these days.
Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We are always THANKFUL for all of our friends who visit us! We're also THANKFUL that Mom (who missed the very early Tuesday Teaser) was first right guesser! GO MOM! She won us this pawsome badge!

that is true... only the junk store staff knows the name of our mama LOL
Some stores have staff that seem to recognize me when I see them, and my fave health food store knows me by name! Hooray! (That is a family run business, so it does make a big difference.)
Cute Haiku!
Congrats on your win!
Those old stores were wonderful places and could always provide whatever you wanted.
Great haiku. Yeah, stores aren't like that anymore.
There is one restaurant where they know my order, if not my name...since I order the same thing EVERY TIME!
That's a perfect haiku for the photo....it's sad that these types of places are gone - fortunately we have a few "recreations" of those places in our area.......there are some VERY old country stores still operating around here and we just love going in them even if we aren't looking for anything!
Hugs, Pam
Lovely haiku ~ and fun photo of yesteryear ~ Xo

Love the haiku! Short and right on the mark.
Nice poem, so true. Congrats on being first correct guesser. xO
Love the haiku! I miss the old time stores. My uncle use to say you could buy anything at Woolworth's. I loved that store, plus the lunch counter and their cheesecake. Our middle daughter recently duplicated that cheesecake, it brought back old memories. Always great tp be here and visit everywhere. Thank you.
