Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats
Today's photo prompt is
The Car Hop
A memory from years ago
Some of you remember, we know
When you were hungry and wanted to stop
You would go to the place with the car hop.
She always had a smile on her face
It was tasty and a fun place.
They delivered your shake right to your car.
It made you feel like a star.

Great poem, and who could forget the taste of those rootbeer floats?
Love love love your poem! "Those were the days" used to be a saying I heard other people say and now I know exactly why they said it. Sweet memories.
Hugs, Pam
Great job on the poem. I remember those drive-ins. Isn't Sonic kind of doing the same thing? I don't like their burgers though.
Way to go on the first commenters badge.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
What fun memories, Texas still has carhops but I haven't been to a place like that in a long time.
Great poem. Congrats on being a first commenter. :)
I can't even begin to tell you how much I would've loved to live in the time period that photo was taken!!!
Oh Boy! Car Hops! Mom used to go to a terrific hot dog and milkshake place on the way home from shopping in Belillingham when we lived in Vancouver. They still had car hops and they wore roller skates! It was great fun to stop their especially when Mom had company from out of the province. they always got such a kick out of it! We LOVE your poem and concats on being the a firstie to the Teaser! We never seem to be able to get up that early. Purrs Mom and Marv
