A Sad Anniversary

Five years ago, at 1:32 pm our Daddy left us to go to Heaven.  That day our lives were forever changed and our hearts shattered into a million pieces.

Mom made a collage of photos of happier days. We share this every year but we know we have new friends who never saw it.  We had to add the one in the middle with the radar gun that Mom Pam from Two Spoiled Cats did for us a couple of years ago.  Daddy loved being a Satellite Beach Police Volunteer.  Other photos are of holidays, vacations, Guardian ad Litem and silly fun days.

IIt sure seems impossible that another year has gone by.  We miss him so much and still can't believe he is gone.  We know he's still with us in spirit but that's not the same as having him here with us for real. We know he was there to welcome Angel Allie but we're still heartbroken.  We hope he loves Reesie as much as we do.  When we lost Angel Ellie and Daddy was in the hospital, Mom promised we would get another Birman girl to love.  Reesie is that girl.

Thank you all for traveling on this journey with us.  You will never know how much your support has meant to us.

We'll never forget him just as you never will but your memories of Bill are so much deeper of course. You were so brave (at least outwardly!) through all of the hospital stay and visits with doctors prior to that. We were hoping and praying for the BEST outcome just like everyone else. I know that he himself was very very proud of you during that time and still is. Our Angels are with us all the time. I am SURE he loves Reesie and ALL of you and will forever. One day you'll be reunited - that I totally believe to be true. We send you a special hug today because we truly do care and love you.

Hugs, Pam and Teddy (and David too)

I'm so, so sorry. I hope your memories can give you some comfort now. I am beginning to enjoy some memories of my husband, but in the beginning it was too raw and they hurt awfully bad. Some still do. Please know you are not alone. <3

Please accept my condolences for your loss. Time doesn't really heal, it simply makes the memories a bit easier to live with.
