Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats
Today's photo prompt is
The TV
Watching our favorite show with glee
Sitting as a family around the TV
Always before bedtime
We had sweet family time
All the kids and Mom and Dad
What a fun time we had
Mom remembers having a TV with a tiny screen like that and a HUGE case around it.
Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Today we're THANKFUL that, even though we weren't firsties on Teddy's Tuesday Teaser, we weren't #40 like last week and we did guess right (although not first)! We FINALLY got a Teaser badge again.

That poem is great. I miss the family times we had like that...though in our family it was gathering around a board game with the radio on...we didn't have a TV till I was a teenager!

ReplyDeleteWait, I think it was user error...
ReplyDeleteThat poem is great! I miss family gatherings like that, only for us it was gathering around a board game with the radio turned on..We didn't have TV till I was 14.
Here I have an old TV case like that, our sons used it for a puppet theater when they were small:)
I remember my nan having a TV like that too. It was nice when families sat together to watch the programmes.
ReplyDeleteLook like a fish tank to me....tee..heh

Having cats is almost better than TV ... sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what my boyfriend and I would talk about if we didn't have a running commentary on what the cats are doing.
I remember this time... it was a good feeling of being together...
ReplyDeleteDelightful poem ...
ReplyDeleteYep those were fun times. Still see us sitting around in AWE as we watched too.
ReplyDeleteHugs cecilia
Great poem. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a terrific poem, our Dad remembers those days too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteYour poem is just right! Those were the days.
ReplyDeleteSweet poem with memories many of us remember....those tiny TVs in those huge cabinets.....TV trays in place and ready to watch a program together. We've come a long way (which may be good or bad!!).
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
Mom doesn't remember spending too much family time around the TV; though, they did get one when she was five. That was a very sweet poem. Sawyer sends oodles of love and paw hugs to Noelle.
