Poetic Thankful Thursday

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

Yucky Veggies

I really don't want to eat these
I would rather eat leaves.
Why should I eat the green stuff?
It's dry and kind of tough.
Will I still be sure to grow
If I only eat the mashed potato?

Mom laughed at this photo because she has always loved ALL veggies!  We're not so sure about that stuff!

Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

As Periwinkle and Stinky told you, today is #Remember Me Thursday.  This is a day to remember all the pets who are waiting to be adopted.   Angel Raz was rescued from a mobile home park in South Florida.  We adopted him from Space Coast Feline Rescue.  Noelle was rescued by a nice lady who saw her and her mom and fursiblings near her house and saved them.  Many kitties and woofies are not so lucky.  We're lighting a candle today and you can add yours by clicking HERE.

I have always liked veg too unlike my brother. My mother told him he wouldn't grow up big and strong if he didn't eat them, but he ended up being 6'4" unlike me who only made 5'3" and a bit!

I've always loved vegetables, too! My father didn't like most of them so we were stuck eating green beans all the time. Don't get me wrong, they are okay. But I don't like the canned ones!

Loved your poem. I used to have to sit at the table for hours, as I wouldn’t drink my milk. My sister wouldn’t eat her vegetables. Neither of us ever thought to trade when our mom was out of the room. Thanks for participating in #RememberMeThursday. Sawyer sends Noelle oodles of whisker kisses and love. I like veggies, too, and so do my kids. You wrote an excellent poem for the prompt.

All of our pets are rescues, and I am glad to be able to volunteer at a shelter.

That poem is great! We laugh about how we like some veggies we did not care for as children.

Thank you for helping #ShineTheLight on Remember Me Thursday.

FUN poem! Lots of people did NOT (and some still don't) like veggies when they were kids. I can't judge since I've never HAD a vegetable but I have a feeling I'd enjoy playing with one (versus eating it!).
