Fun to see. Right now we are actually putting out extra peanuts for a female squirrel who is nursing some babies in a Tree close by. She comes for them every morning.
We're as happy to see squirrels enjoying our birdfeeder as we are when birds enjoy it.....we do wish the deer wouldn't be such little piggies though - they can eat a LOT of that birdseed!
Mom can't put out the hummingbird feeder this year because of the squirrels. Last year was it. They destroyed a feeder twice, and made horrible messes all over the wooden deck that is stained black forever with sugar water. They are cute. That's about it for me and mommy.
