The Apartment Dweller
My lease said I couldn't have a bird, dog or cat.
I decided to fix that.
I adopted a pot-bellied pig
He grew up to be kind of big.
I really want to take a nap
He thinks he should join me in my lap.
Having him for a friend is such a winner
I don't think I'll ever have pork for dinner.
We are THANKFUL that Hurricane Debby stayed away from us and gave us some much-needed rain. We're also THANKFUL that Mom was a right guesser (not first) on the Tuesday Teaser and won us this pawsome new badge!

What a fun poem! I'm glad you got rain and nothing more.
Oh my goodness - this poem is priceless! Well done.....AND we're glad you only had rain from the storm.....same for us up here in Virginia.....most of the worst stayed away from us - just got tons of rain which we needed - we're saying "bye bye" to Debby after today. Glad you had fun with the photo this week - it made us giggle when we found it and all the poems have been TERRIFIC!
