Poetic Thankful Thursday

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

The Visitor

A bear with a body wide,
Poked its head where campers hide.
Into the tent, it took a peek
In search of something great to eat!
Exploring the campsite in broad daylight.
Stay away, or he might take a bite!
At first, this gave us quite a scare
Who knew a camper could be a bear?

Today is also Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Periwinkle and Stinky are THANKFUL for everyone who visited and commented.  We are THANKFUL for Air Conditioning!  We're also THANKFUL that, after some going back and forth, we found the shelter that our Blogoversary winner, Messymimi requested.  Cat Haven.  We made the donation and added the processing fee!  Thanks to all who pawticipated!

What a fun poem! I know I'd stay and wait for the bear to "decamp" before going back to this tent.

Thank you for the donation to Cat Haven when the first place didn't work out. I'm sure they will use it well, they have a good reputation in the community.
