The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

 

Periwinkle was sitting by the Christmas tree and Teleportation Tunnel, grooming her furs when she saw the Tunnel shake and, with a WOOSH, out popped Stinky.  She was happy to see he was wearing his Santa hat since their Adventure was all about Christmas!  They spent time whisker-kissing, paw-patting, and catching up on the past week.  Stinky said that the kittens all had their vaccines and surgery, and that two were headed to their forever homes and the others would be staying until January.  Periwinkle said she was sad to see them go but knew they would have wonderful lives thanks to Stinky's Mom and Dad.  

Periwinkle said, "We're doing our Adventure in two parts today.  Since it's light out, we're going to go check out some Christmas decorations.  We'll come back here to watch a special little video I have and then go back out when it's dark to see the decorations lit up!"  Stinky thought that sounded like a fun idea, so they hopped into Periwinkle's Mom's car and set out to find decorations. 

It didn't take long to find the first ones.  "I remember these from last year," said Stinky.  Periwinkle commented that her Mom said blow-ups look like a crime scene when they are deflated.  Stinky agreed, and the two giggled at that thought.

The tabbies saw others that looked interesting.  "Let's come back tonight to see these," said Stinky.  Periwinkle said she would make sure they did.

They drove around to see others.  Stinky ran off shouting, "Santa Skelly!"  Periwinkle remembered him from the previous year.  She did let Stinky know she was not happy he climbed on the roof.  "I'm sorry, I promise I won't climb anything else," he replied.

They took a photo with Santa and the tree, and Olaf.

They even found some unusual Santas!

And a Santa and pelican!

Periwinkle's Mom needed to go to Lowe's, and they decided to go in and take a memory photo with Bumble.

They headed back to Periwinkle's house to wait for it to get dark.  Periwinkle brought out her laptop to show Stinky a video she took of Santa on the firetruck.  They both enjoyed it since they knew it was a tradition in Periwinkle's town. Click the photo or HERE to see the video.

They had a snack and took a nap since there was time before they were going out again.  Both agreed that the Catmas Casserole Temptations were delicous!

Soon, they got back into Periwinkle's Mom's car and went out to see the lights.  Their first stop was one that they saw earlier in the day that they agreed they should re-visit at night.

 

"I hope we're going to that street that has all the decorations," said Stinky.  Periwinkle told him not to worry, they were.  As they walked paw-in-paw, they stopped at some places while Periwinkle's Mom took a video.  Stinky couldn't resist the surfing Santa.

They both wanted a photo with Rudolph.  Periwinkle rolled her eyes at Stinky on the fence but didn't say anything.

On the way back to Periwinkle's house, they took some other photos...

"Look, this one is counting down to Christmas" they both exclaimed!

At Periwinkle's house, they took a photo with the lights her Mom put up.

It was getting late and Stinky had to leave for his house.  He visited with Periwinkle's fursibs and thanked her Mom for helping them see the decorations and recording the video.  A few more whisker-kiss and paw pats and into the Tunnel he went.  With one last whisker kiss and a WOOSH, he headed home.  Periwinkle decided to curl up under the Christmas tree and dream of her handsome fiance!
