Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats
Today's photo prompt is
The Reader
Beneath a blanket, soft and bright,
A little boy reads late at night.
A flashlight dances on the page,
Turning his bed into a stage.
Quiet giggles, whispered cheer,
Stories only he can hear.
In that tent of sheets and light,
Adventure sparkles in the night.
Mom remembers doing this when she was a little girl.
Today is also Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Periwinkle and Stinky are, as always, THANKFUL for their loyal readers as are we! You are the BEST!

thats true... the bed becomes the tent of indiana jones or batman :O)
My mom told me to read and to love books and yes me too with the flashlight in bed! This is a great poem for a fun picture.
Terrific poem, and I still do this!
The blankies over me, the light of my cell phone hidden, as I play solitaire, freecell, or suduko while listening to an audiobook.
That was a totally excellent poem. Mom too did this as a kid. We know kids these days are probably playing video games on their phones under the covers. Such a shame!!
