The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

 

Pacing back and forth in front of the Teleportation Tunnel, Periwinkle had a hard time keeping her eyes from leaking.  She wanted to be strong for Stinky, but her heart was sad when she thought about Angel Sawyer.  Soon, the Tunnel began to shake and, wiping a tear from her eye, she put on her best smile and got ready to put her paws around Stinky.  With the familiar WOOSH, he popped out, and she caught him with her loving paws.  The two hugged and whisker kissed and, of course, the tears came.  They did their best to comfort each other. Periwinkle asked Stinky how his family was doing.  Stinky said it was tough but the kittens helped brighten spirits with their antics.  Periwinkle was glad they were being helpful.

Periwinkle said, "I hope you don't mind staying here for our Adventure today.  I didn't think we were ready to go off someplace yet and there are two events this week we can share."  Stinky agreed that staying at Periwnkle's house was a good idea. "I'll bet I know what one event is.  Yesterday was Kiss a Ginger day, wasn't it?" 

Periwinkle giggled and asked if his brofurs Cooper Murphy and Raleigh got big kisses and he replied that Cooper Murphy did, but Raleigh didn't like kisses, "I'll bet our pal Teddy did too," they both said and giggled again. Periwinkle said, " I wish I could give Cooper Murphy and Raleigh each a big kiss."  Then she got an idea.  "I'll bet I could give them a virtual kiss with AI!"  The two went to Periwinkle's Mom's computer and started playing with different programs.  "Hey, this one isn't bad of you with Cooper Murphy,"  said Stinky.  They both agreed she looked a little thin, but it was cute.

  

Next, they decided to have her give Raleigh a kiss which they thought turned out better.

Since the next day was Dress Up Your Pet day and they were already playing with different programs, they decided to see what kind of dress-up they could do without actually having to put on REAL clothes.

They tried different prompts.  Stinky as a Chef...

Periwinkle as a Ballerina...

The Tabbies laughed at themselves as Star Wars Stormtroopers...

Stinky tried a Baseball outfit...

And a French Artist...

Stinky asked for Periwinkle in a Superhero costume since he said she was HIS superhero.  Periwinkle blushed but was secretly pleased that he thought of her like that.  She hugged him and gave him a great big kiss when she saw it.

Stinky asked to be dressed like a Cowboy, a Pirate and a Sailor.

"Good ideas, I think I'll do the same," said Periwinkle.  Of course, she dressed like a cowgirl!

"I'm glad we're doing this today," said Stinky.  "I don't think I would have much fun on an Adventure so soon after losing my brofur, Sawyer."   Periwinkle took his paw and hugged him.  Once again, tears came to their eyes, and they snuggled and comforted each other.  Noelle and Reesie heard them and came over to join in on the hug.  

It was almost time for Stinky to head home, so they decided to have a quick snack of Fancy Feast before he left.

They shared a few minutes of whisker kissing, paw patting, and saying "I love you" to each other. Eventually, Stinky hopped into the Teleportation Tunnel to head home.  Periwinkle asked him to send her love to Mom Janet, Dad Tom, and his fursibs and, with a WOOSH and one last whisker kiss, he was on his way.

Periwinkle decided to find her fursibs and snuggle together in a sun puddle while thinking of her special mancat.

Sadly, our ginger Angel Tamir left us many years ago. If you are lucky enough to have a ginger, please kiss them for us today!

Welcome to Sparks. Many years ago, it was my intent to post an inspirational thought each Monday. It would be my weekly meditation, and perhaps feed other people's spirit as well. Life got busy, and this fell by the wayside. Now, I feel a strong need to bring this feature back. 
The negative energy in the world has become thick and oppressive. Social media has become a part of this dark, negative storm. There is an obvious universal need for more positive energy and peace. And, we can all be part of this affirmative change. 
I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!

Poetic Thankful Thursday

When Mom was a little girl her grandparents would take her to see the Christmas show at Radio City Music hall every year.  The Rockettes were a huge part of that show.

Raz is THANKFUL for all your good wishes and POTP.  He is also THANKFUL that he won Cooper Murphy's dorm door decorating contest at Cat Scouts and won this pawsome prize package!  He promises he will share with his fursibs!

The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

 

Once again, Periwinkle stood next to the Teleportation Tunnel in anticipation of Stinky's arrival.  She just loved Tuesdays because she knew they would see each other.  With a WOOOSH, he exploded out of the tunnel and into her paws.  They spent time whisker kissing and holding paws. 

After a while,  Periwinkle reminded Stinky that today was Kiss a Ginger Day and asked Stinky if he kissed his brofur Cooper Murphy.   "PHOOOY....I am not kissing a BOY" he replied.  Periwinkle giggled.  Stinky said "You're the only one I want to share whisker kisses with" which made Periwinkle very happy to hear.

"So what are we doing today," asked Stinky.  Periwinkle told him that Thursday was National Dress Up Your Pet Day.  He laughed and said he didn't think his fursibs would like that.

Periwinkle said, "I thought it would be fun for us to dress up in a few different outfits today."  Stinky said that would be fun.

First, they tried on cowboy hats and bandanas.

Stinky told Periwinkle that she looked pretty in her hat and bandana and she told him he looked handsome.  They both said how cute their pals the Lone Star Cats always look in their bandanas!

It was pretty cold at Periwinkle's house (well, cold for Florida) so they both dressed up in warm knit hats and scarves.

Just for fun, they decided to dress up like yummy noms!

Both tabbies meowed out loud over their silly outfits.  The food outfits made them both hungry so they decided to have a snack of Fancy Feast.

Stinky said the placemats reminded him of Periwinkle's sisfur, Angel Allie.  Periwinkle said, "yes those are lilac Birmans on the placemats, just like Angel Allie was."  She also said the beautiful angel kitty that Stinky's Mom, Janet, gave her Mom was so special and was so appreciated.  Stinky saw the ornament his alter-ego Sawyer sent Noelle.  Periwinkle said that was staying out and not getting put away with the decorations.

After their snack, they spent some time visiting with Periwinkle's family and some time snuggling, headbonking and whisker kissing.  They always hated this part of the day because it meant that their adventure was coming to a close.  Soon it was time and Periwinkle watched Stinky get into the Teleportation Tunnel to head home.   They both blew kisses to each other and WOOSH, he was on his way home.  Periwinkle decided to head to the top of the cat tree and dream about her special boyfriend.
