A Sad Anniversary

Nine years ago, at 1:32 pm, our Daddy left us to go to Heaven.  That day our lives were forever changed, and our hearts shattered into a million pieces.  We didn't know him, but Angel Raz told us he was a special guy.

Mom made a collage of photos of happier days. We share this every year, but we know we have new friends who never saw it.  We had to add the one in the middle with the radar gun that Mom Pam from Two Spoiled Cats did for us a couple of years ago.  Daddy loved being a Satellite Beach Police Volunteer.  Other photos are of holidays, vacations,  and silly fun days.

It sure seems impossible that another year has gone by. We know he's still with us in spirit, but that's not the same as having him here with us for real. We know he was there to welcome Angel Allie and Angel Raz, but we're still heartbroken.  Noelle came to us that first Christmas, and we are sure he sent her to help Mom through that. We hope he loves Reesie as much as we do.  When we lost Angel Ellie, and Daddy was in the hospital, Mom promised we would get another Birman girl to love.  Reesie is that girl.

Even though McGuffy's reader is taking a break, we are continuing our Monday Sparks posts!  From the original Sparks posts:
Welcome to Sparks. Many years ago, it was my intent to post an inspirational thought each Monday. It would be my weekly meditation, and perhaps feed other people's spirit as well. Life got busy, and this fell by the wayside. Now, I feel a strong need to bring this feature back.

The negative energy in the world has become thick and oppressive. Social media has become a part of this dark, negative storm. There is an obvious universal need for more positive energy and peace. And, we can all be part of this affirmative change.
I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!
I hope you will join us. Please link up a positive quote, thought, poem, or verse. The badge and code can be found in my sidebar. Add the badge to your post to invite others. The more, the merrier. I welcome your thoughts. Peace.
