Respect Your Cat Day

Mom saw these tips on a website (but she can't remember which one)

How to Celebrate Respect Your Cat Day1. Spend some quality time with your catSchedule some time with kitty. Go ahead, actually put it in your calendar. Our lives get so busy, but it's definitely worth taking some time to give your kitty some TLC. How else are you going to develop a strong bond with your best friend?
2. Get your cat a new cat toySometimes showing your love is as easy as refreshing that catnip mouse or getting a new scratching post to replace the old beat-up one. You know she'll love it when you wave that ribbon wand around.
3. Learn new ways to make your cat happyYou knew that kitty likes a good scratch behind the ears, but did you know she also likes to play peekaboo with you behind the curtain? Find fun new games or places your kitty likes to be petted today, even if it takes a bit of experimentation. It's all in service of letting your cat know he or she is loved.
We agree with all of those especially if they include treats and toys!!!

We also found these cute videos....

Mom liked this one because it shows the beautiful red rocks of Sedona.

Mom plans on respecting us today (and EVERY DAY) with treats, love and tons of attention.  We're pretty sure we get respect every day but we'll take extra whenever we can!

Father's Day Sunday Selfies and Sedona selffies

We're pawticipating in The Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfies today.

We took some of our favorite selfies and made a card for Dad for Father's Day!

Our last day in Sedona.....we hated to leave!  Here's the yummy breakfast Mom and I had...it was a frittata with veggies at the bottom....YUM-A-ROO big, tasty chunks of ham steak went with it!

Before we left, I took a selfie with Sara, Mark and the resident woofie Tequila!

Time to go home...............Another totally uncomfortable and LONG (think big delays) trip home on Frontier.

We even brought our own water bottles.....we brought empty ones to the airport and filled them there!  Everything cost bazillion dollars on the plane!!!

We hope you enjoyed our trip to Sedona!  We'll be back to regular blogging next week.  Don't forget that tomorrow is International Box Day!!!

Poetic Thankful Thursday ANTS and Sedona Day 4

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's letter is "A" and the suggested themes were  (1)  ants     (2)   anger   (3)   apples  (4)  ankles

We chose
 ANTS!!

Ants in your pants
or in the plants.
Ant's are annoying
and can be destroying.
Ants on the table?
We didn't enable!
He's actually cute
And quite a hoot!

This ant was one of the cute decorations on the table at the Cozy Cactus.  He was a good guy and never bothered anything.   (DISCLAIMER....this is NOT a REAL ANT)   Wonder why we needed that?   Last year there was a photo of flat Raz and a ducky on the table and somebody asked the Cozy Cactus if the cat is allowed on the table!!!  Um.....we're pretty sure it is obvious that FLAT Raz is not a real cat.....what do you think?

Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

I am very THANKFUL that this bear at the Ranger's Station in Sedona didn't EAT me!

I think these guys were relatives of our pal BACON from Pig Love....

I'm also THANKFUL I didn't have to climb this rock....isn't it pretty?

Yep....another dessert.  Sorry the photo is dark....we were in a BAR! Can you see me in the photo?

Ut oh....

Sedona Day 3

Sedona....Day 3....

I MIGHT have had a bit too much wine last night.  The coffee here at the Cozy Cactus is really GOOD!

Breakfast had a Mexican flare.   Mom is low carb and had something different.....that's the nice thing about the Cozy Cactus...they accommodate your diet.

OMC MOM AND DAD....how embarrassing....especially since Dad has on TWO hats!!!!

ManCat Monday

Hi effurybuddy, Flat Raz here.   As some of you know, Mom and Dad and I went to Sedona for a vacation a couple of weeks ago.   We had a great time (well....other than one incident that I'll tell you about later in the week)

We got to the Orlando airport with plenty of time to spare.   We had an early morning flight so it should all be good, right?  Nope.....there was a problem with the plane and we were delayed taking off.

See this TINY tray?  That's the WHOLE TRAY!!!  Mom and Dad were flying Frontier because they had to use tickets they couldn't use in October (remember Hurricane Matthew?)  Eventually we did take off and got to Sedona to start our vacation.

We stayed at our favorite B&B - The Cozy Cactus and this was the view from our room....

The first night in Sedona Mom and Dad always go to a place the locals like called PJ's Village Pub

And yes, Dad DID have a yummy dessert!!!

We'll be sharing more of our adventures all week!

Flat ManCat Monday

Flat Raz got to go to the Sedona Airport with Mom and Dad.  There are lots of places to take photos of the scenery and there is a little restaurant there where you can stop and watch the small planes and sightseeing helicopters.

I took a selfie with some of the pretty rocks in the background....

I got to use some of my Cat Scout skills to try to read this marker....

Hey - a DOGGIE Deck?   What about a KITTY Deck??

Dad!

Later that night, Mom and Dad went to a fantastic restaurant called Rene that was highly recommended by Carrie at the Cozy Cactus.

I got into a bit of trouble at the restaurant.....

Mom and Dad enjoyed their dinners.   Dad had scallops again....

Mom had rack of lamb!

and Dad had a yummy dessert....

Mom and Dad....

OOOPSSS.....maybe I had a BIT TOO MUCH wine??

Sunday Selfies

We're pawticipating in The Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfies today.

One of the cool parts of staying at the Cozy Cactus is the official greeter - Tequila.  Flat Raz and Tequila took a selfie together.  Isn't Tequila a nice woofie?

Flat Raz in Sedona

Oh boy....breakfast at the Cozy Cactus is always WONDERFUL.  I started out with a good cup of coffee because last night's dinner included WINE.

I did a selfie with Bell Rock behind me (too bad it's not Sunday!)   Biggify to see ME!

Here's a close up of Bell Rock.  That was taken sitting outside our room!  Isn't it amazing?

Later that day we took a trip to an old mining town - Jerome Arizona.   Jerome used to be a copper mining town and now has quite a few nice shops and restaurants.  If you click on the above link you can read more about this fascinating little town.   Here I am helping Dad take some photos.

Later that night, Mom and Dad had a yummy dinner at a place called The Schoolhouse.   Dad had scallops and loved them.   Me/   Um......my photo was a bit embarrassing....let me just say that Flat Cats have a difficult time holding their liquor!

Yep.....Dad forgot his readers and had to borrow Mom's.   They might be a bit BLINGY for him....what do you think?

Tomorrow is Meezer Colors day so we will be continuing later in the week.

Flat Raz in Sedona

Day Two in Sedona.....

If you biggify you can see the baby quail that live at the Cozy Cactus.

I hung around with Mr Frog for a while..

and even rode the Flamingo!

Mr Lizard was bigger than any lizard we've got here in Florida!

In the afternoon, Mom read her book on her Ipad and I watched over her.....see the pretty red rocks in the background?

There were many repeat guests at the Cozy Cactus so they did a Pizza Night!!

Yes, it was delicious....and so was the wine!

to be continued...........
