Foster Friday - Lexi goes exploring!
Since Lexi is a little shy, Mom and Dad have been slowly exposing her to the house. Right now her "safe room" is our guest bedroom. She's quite happy there and Daddy naps with her and Mom plays with her a lot. Lately Mom has been putting us in the bedroom and opening the door for Lexi to explore and smell OUR smells. Here are a couple of videos Mom put together of Lexi exploring. Even though she gets spooked easily she runs to her room and then comes right back out to go exploring!!

Foster Friday with Lexie
Oh Hi there.....If you haven't been visiting the Florida Furkids this week you might not know me. I'm Lexie and I'm staying here with the Florida Furkids and their Mom and Dad while my own Daddy is away in the Army. I found this foster home through Operation Noble Foster - check it out if you haven't already!!
At first I was a little shy but now I'm investigating my new "digs".
I still haven't met the Florida Furkids but I'm sure I'm going to like them!!

The Florida Furkids have to put up with this weird thing called a flashy box. I'm getting used to it and even pose. Here I am looking at the person the Furkids call Daddy. If you look at the reflection in the headboard, you can see the Furkids Mom with the flashy box. I think I need to give her some tips on taking photos since she keeps getting these dark ones of me!
Here's a little video clip of me dong one of my favorite things - getting PETS!!!!

Thankful Thursday with Lexie
Lexie is still getting used to us. She's still hiding a bit and Mom got this (very blurry) picture of her under the bed. Lexie doesn't know that hiding from the Flashy Box is almost impossible!!! She's made great progress in the last two days.
Here's a picture of her hiding under the bed the day she came here....
You can see she's starting to trust Mom more in this one....
and finally....she gives kisses!!!
We're very thankful that she's starting to trust Mom and Dad and feel more at home. We haven't met her yet but we know she's here. Mom sent for refills for our Feliway diffusers to help the process.

We also have a special surprise for you today......
Remember THIS post from last Friday????
Meet our new foster kitty.....LEXIE!
Lexie is kind of shy and Mom doesn't want to bother her with the flashy box (YET!) so we're sharing this picture Mom took in the car on the way home. We haven't met her yet, but we know we're all going to have lots of fun together!!

Photo Hunters - Veterans/Military
This week's theme is Veterans/Military. We're not Veterans but a few years ago we DID Foster a kitty for an Airman from Patrick Air Force Base while he was deployed in Iraq.
Mila was a sweetheart. She was a little bit afraid when she first came to live with us, but by the time she left she was pals with all of us. Mila was with us a little over a year and it was hard to see her leave, but we knew her Daddy loved her a lot. The program that we went through was Operation Noble Foster. It's a great program and Mila's dad was very happy to know that his little girl was taken care of while he was in Iraq. We've visited Mila a few times since he came home since she doesn't live too far from us now.

Mila loved our smaller cat tree. She liked to sleep in between the posts.
She learned to snuggle with all of us...here's a picture of her with Ellie.
Tamir and Mila were super close and he missed her a lot when she left.
