Did you know that Birmans wear gloves?

From Wikipedia: "The Birman's coat is unusual due to the white 'gloves' on each paw. They are one of the few cat breeds in the colourpoint coat that has fingers and toes in pure white colour. The genetics of this feature may not be not fully clear, though a gene conferring the white 'gloves' has been identified."

Here it is....Monday again! Tamir plans on spending the day in the nice, soft red bed. He thinks red makes him look very ManCatly! We agree!!

Toys Tuesday with Cousin Trooper

Hi Furiends! Cousin Trooper here. The Florida Furkids won a gift certificate to Nip and Bones a few weeks ago. They were nice enough to share with me! Here are two cool catnip hearts that they brought to me so I could choose my favorite. (Ignore my old, worn out teaser....Mom needs to find a new one for me).
I picked the multi-colored cat print one and gave the red one to the Furkids!
Thanks to our pal Baby Patches from Nip and Bones for having this cool give away and to my Furkid cousins for sharing!!

If you can spare some purrs for my Mom today I would appreciate it. Her bloods are finally good and she's having her 4th Chemo treatment today. Thanks, Cousin Trooper.

ManCat Monday - Missing Sniffie

As a ManCat, I take my responsibilities seriously. One of my jobs is to make sure my sisfurs are always protected. I liked sleeping next to Sniffie so I could keep her safe. It's hard to believe that Sniffie got her Angel Wings six months ago. We miss her a lot.

Photo Hunters - License Plate

This week's Photo Hunter's theme is LICENSE PLATE.

This was the LICENSE PLATE that was on Mom and Auntie El's Friends FurEver van. They went to shows all over the country in that van. I even got to go to shows with them...as far away as Houston TX! Mom and Auntie El had loads of adventures in that van and they can still laugh at many of them. They sold the Friends FurEver van last year since they hadn't gone to any shows in it for a long time. Mom and Auntie El both have variations of Friends FurEver on their car license plates now.

Once again our Pal Brian sponsored a super St Patrick's Day Contest! We were so surprised when we opened our email yesterday and saw these super awards!!

Ellie and Allie won Honorable Mention for Best Spirit of the Holiday.
Allie won Honorable Mention for Best Green Sleeping Area.
Tamir won Honorable Mention for Best Green Apparel.

And the biggest winner of all of us was Ellie! She won Thrid Place in Best Use of Green.

As sweet as Sniffie was, she could manage to get into big trouble sometimes.

One day Mom saw black footprints all over the floor.....Sniffie had gotten into the fireplace!
Her purrty white paws were black with soot!!

Thirsty Thursday with Cousin Trooper

Hi effurybuddy, Cousin Trooper here......
I really enjoy WATER! See how I stick my head under the faucet! My cousins think this is strange....
Here's a video of me drinking from the water faucet. Fresh water is great. I have a drinking fountain but I always prefur straight from the faucet! My Mom (Auntie El to the Furkids) always says I run up her water bill!!

ManCat Monday - To Bee or not to Bee!

Tamir knows that snooperving the backyard is very impawtent.

He's making sure nobuddy takes the orange blossoms so Mom and Dad can have a big crop of oranges this year!

Mom says the whole backyard smells purrty!

Unfortunately, some new friends stopped by this week. Mom took the woofies out on Wednesday and saw bees flying effurywhere. Later on she and Dad went out side and saw THIS!


Mom did some research and found that it was a swarm of Honeybees. The information she found said that they would probably leave in 24 hours. Unfortunately, they didn't and she had to call a beekeeper to find out how to remove them. The Beekeeper said that that swarm was made up of 30,000 - 80,000 bees!!! The cost to remove them started at $100. Mom and Dad decided to wait and see if they left on their own since they weren't bothering anybuddy.

Saturday night, Dad took the woofies out and saw this.....

The bees have moved on! Mom said it was an interesting but creepy experience! We're glad they have moved on. If you look closely at the top left hand corner, you can see the little bit of honeycomb that they left behind!!

Ellie and Sniffie were never really pals, but sometimes they could be snuggly!

Thankful Thursday - a cool award from good friends

We received this cool award from our friends Chancy and Company and from Clarissa's House of Cats!

You are supposed to tell 7 things about yourself! We know you already know lots about us, but we'll try to come up with 7 new things!


1. Cousin Trooper used to live with us. He didn't get along with Sniffie, so he moved in with Auntie El.


2. Cubby and Clifford (our woofies) will sleep as late as Mom (and that's purrty late when she isn't working!


3. Ellie and Tamir LOVE ham. Allie is very picky and won't eat ham!


4. Tamir plays in the water fountain. Mom always knows when he's had a drink 'cause she sees pawprints all over the floor.


5. Mom and Auntie El started their business, Friends FurEver, in 1995. They've been best friends for eleventy billion years. Our blog is named after their business.


6. We all like to sleep on Mom. Dad moves around too much for us!!


7. Allie has a big white spot at the end of her tail! Look for it in her pictures!
