Surgery is postponed because Mom and Auntie El were in an accident on the way to the pre-op tests. Mom was driving and a lady pulled out right in front of them :( Fortunately, a police car was right behind them and saw the whole thing. Auntie El went to the ER and is okay and they are both pretty sore right now. The seatbelt did a real job on Mom 's chest but at least they're both okay. Now back to our regularly scheduled post:
Yippee! Today is one of our favorite events - International Box Day!!!
Maggy and Zoey from Zoolatry and Phantom and Thunder and Ciara and Lightning from The Chronicle of Woos are sponsoring this year's event! You can go HERE to read more about it.
We absolutely love this event. Isn't this graphic that the Zoolatry human made for International Box Day great?
Boxes are so much fun!!
Good things come in boxes.....
A really nice box can always be made to fit...
Lexi has learned that Boxes can be worth checking out.
There could be good things inside.....
Cousin Trooper loves boxes too. He hopes he can find good health for his Mom in this one. He also wants to ask everyone to purr, pray and woof for a successful surgery for his Mom
Many thanks to Ann of Zoolatry for the great graphic for Auntie El

I am glad your human and Auntie El are okay - that was lucky that there was a police car right there when the accident happened! Do keep us posted about the rescheduling of Auntie El's surgery!
Well enjoy your box while we all purr for your Auntie El! We are glad that everyone was okay.
Thank you for your kind words for Monty.
We will pray for your Auntie and we hopes you have lots of fun with boxes!
We are sending healing PURRS straight away.
And we LOVE those box pics!
Oh my goodness. So glad nobody was seriously injured! Praying for a speedy healing!
I had no idea it was International Box Day. It's kind of funny actually because Gandalf is on the blog today with a box. Well, boxes aren't really all that unusual for a cat, now are they?
We're sending BIG purrs for your Mom and Auntie El! Thank goodness it wasn't any worse.
We think you guys are great to foster Lexi...and she sure likes her boxes! For some reason you disappeared off our Reader and we just got you back last week!
My paws are crossed for your mom and Auntie El!
Your pal, Pip
Holy cod! We're glad your mom and Auntie El weren't hurt!
Purrs to them both and yes, please let us know when the surgery is rescheduled.
Oh no, we are so sorry to hear about the accident. We hope Mom and Auntie El will be OK. And more crossed paws for the surgery.
You kitties sure do love boxes. Thanks for joining us in celebrating International Box Day!

Wow! How often is a police car there when you need one? Glad your Mom and Auntie El both are OK, and didn't get hurt too bad.
Love your boxes!

We are so glad your Mom and Auntie El are going to be okay. We are sending lots and lots of purrs and prayers!
Those are some really great box pictures. Mom and Dad got rid of our boxes ... something about "de-cluttering," which we think must mean "ruining our good times."
Hugs!
Sammy and Moosey
Sending a lot of purrayers!!!!!!!
Thank goodness your Mom and Aunt El are okay. What a scary experience.
Enjoy your box!
We are so glad your Mommy and Auntie El are ok; keeping them both in our purrs...Happy Box Day, sweet friends!...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
We are just home from a long and arduous day ~ tho far from as eventful as yours! YIKES! You two should have been put "in a box"
for transporting today, we thinks you'd have been safer there. Glad to know that in spite of achey you-know-whats, all is well ...
hope the car came thru OK too!
Hang in there, take care, best to Elinor ... hugs, Ann
All of you seem really intrigued by those boxes of yours! I always think it's funny when someone tries to fit in one that's way too small (like Tamir).
Lexi sure is a little ball of curiousity, isn't she?
And we are purring along with you Trooper that your Mom has a successful surgery and a short recovery.
We're so sorry to hear that you had an accident on the way to the hospital, too. As if it weren't enough to handle already! Glad you're both OK, though. It could have been a lot worse.
I am so glad that you are both ok.. I hopee things look up son for you.. Great box picturs.. Hugs GJ xx
Glad you are all okay!!
We are so very happy that your Mom and Auntie El are OK. Bet they will be very sore tomorrow :(
You kitties have mighty fine box pics :) Good to see you enjoying them so much :) heehee

Tiger,Treasure and JJ
We are sending lots of purrs for your mum and Auntie El.
You all look like you are having fun with your boxes.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I enjoyed your Box Day post too! I see that I'm not alone in my love of boxes!
So sorry to hear about your aunt and very sorry about the car accident but glad they are okay. Seatbelts are wonderful things. Mom once was in a very very bad accident, but was not injured except for being very sore and having a bruise across her body where the seatbelt was.
Garth
Haha! We love Tamir in his box!!
We're glad your mom and Auntie El are okay after being in that scary accident!
What horrible luck that that lady pulled out, but thank goodness you had an excellent witness. Think how you might have been hurt without the seatbelts! Good luck and we're purring you both feel better soon. We love our boxes too! Its like milk and cookies, cats and boxes.
We are so happy that your Mommy and Auntie El was not hurts (other than some bruises) Accidents is so scarey! And me lived your box pictures!
Kisses
Nellie
