The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle woke up early and groomed her furs in anticipation of Stinky's arrival.  As often happens, she hoped he would like what she planned for their Adventure.  Soon, the Teleportation Tunnel began to shake and, with a WOOSH, Stinky popped out, almost knocking her down.  They giggled, whisker kissed, and hugged.  Stinky noticed some boxes and immediately thought they were celebrating International Box Day, which was coming up on Thursday.  Periwinkle said they were doing something else for their Adventure, but that she knew they didn't want to miss the opportunity to enjoy a good box!  They both headed right for the box and continued whisker kissing and paw patting there.

Eventually, Stinky asked what the plan was.  "Remember how we did the AI photos at your house in April (click HERE if you missed that Adventure) and how different each one was," she responded.  He laughed when he remembered.  Periwinkle continued, "I thought we would see what kind of Adventure AI planned for us today."  Stinky agreed it could be fun, so they went to Periwinkle's Mom's laptop and started.

They used the prompt "What fun Adventure can Periwinkle and Stinky have on June 17th."

First, they used ChatGPT...

🐾 Periwinkle & Stinky’s Secret Garden Surprise (June 17 Adventure)

Setting: A warm June morning, sun peeking through fluffy clouds, birds chirping. Stinky wakes up to find a mysterious pawprint-shaped map slipped under the cat bed.

The Map Reads:

"June 17 — One day only! A secret garden blooms behind the ivy gate. But only curious cats may enter. Follow the blue butterflies..." 🦋

The Adventure Begins:

🐾 Step 1: Tunnel Travel
Periwinkle opens a teleportation tunnel with a sparkle and a whoosh! The two tabby explorers zoom through space-time and pop out in a quiet meadow buzzing with life.

🐾 Step 2: Butterfly Trail
They follow a fluttery path of glowing blue butterflies past sleepy daisies and whispering willows until they find a tall ivy-covered gate. Periwinkle meows the secret password: "Mousetrap Rhubarb!" — and the gate creaks open.

🐾 Step 3: Garden of Wonders
Inside is a magical garden filled with:

  • Giant sunflowers that tell silly jokes

  • A puddle pond where koi fish wear little hats

  • A hammock woven from catnip vines

  • A mysterious treehouse with a periscope and tiny elevator

  • A snack table with fresh tuna tarts, cream puffs, and sardine smoothies

🐾 Step 4: Treasure Time!
They discover a glowing chest under a rainbow fern. Inside? A golden collar tag with “Best Adventure Buddies” engraved, and two tiny capes that say “Explorer Cat.”

🐾 Step 5: Naptime in the Treehouse
After a day of exploring, they curl up in the treehouse loft with twinkle lights, listening to crickets sing lullabies.

On a sunny day, June 17, two tabby cats named Periwinkle and Stinky woke up early. They stretched their paws and yawned widely. Today was special because they planned a fun adventure. The garden outside their house was full of wonders waiting to be explored.

Periwinkle was a curious cat with bright green eyes, while Stinky was a bit more cautious but loved to follow his best friend. "Let’s explore the big garden," Periwinkle said with excitement. Stinky nodded, his tail twitching with a mix of fear and thrill.

As they stepped outside, the garden seemed to come alive. Colorful flowers danced in the wind, and butterflies fluttered around. Periwinkle chased a butterfly, hopping through the tall grass. Stinky watched and giggled as she stumbled and rolled. "Catch it, Periwinkle! " he cheered.

Suddenly, they heard a strange noise from behind a big bush. It sounded like a soft whimper. "What’s that noise? " Periwinkle asked, her ears perked up. Stinky was unsure, but curiosity got the best of him. Together, they crept closer to the bush.

When they peeked behind it, they saw a tiny kitten. It looked scared and lost. "Oh no! We should help it," Periwinkle said, her heart full of kindness. Stinky agreed, and they approached the little kitten slowly.

"Don't be afraid," said Periwinkle gently. "What’s your name? " The kitten looked up with big, worried eyes and said, "I am Momo. I lost my way. "

Periwinkle and Stinky shared a look. They knew they had to help Momo find his home. "We’ll help you, Momo," Stinky said bravely. "Where did you come from? "

Momo pointed towards the tall trees at the end of the garden. They decided to go together. They walked carefully, with Momo in the middle. The three cats giggled and played as they walked. They climbed over rocks and under branches, looking for Momo's home.

After a while, they reached the other side of the garden. There, they spotted a small house with a big red door. "That’s it! " Momo exclaimed, running towards the door. His owner rushed outside, looking worried.

With a happy meow, Momo ran into the house. Periwinkle and Stinky felt proud. They had made a new friend and helped him. Their adventure turned out to be more fun than they had imagined. As the sun set, they returned home, excited to share their story.

They couldn't take a photo from EditPad but did one with Craiyon. They giggled because AI seemed to want to make Stinky a ginger, and it added MoMo!

The last site they tried was Squibbler (another site that made Stinky a ginger and gave Periwinkle the climbing ability, which, as we all know, is Stinky's favorite thing to do!)

Periwinkle (a sleek, lilac-grey tabby with startlingly green eyes) and Stinky (a fluffy, ginger tabby with one perpetually crooked ear) were not your average house cats. While they enjoyed the usual naps in sunbeams and the occasional chase of a rogue dust bunny, their true passion lay in adventure. June 17th dawned bright and sunny, promising the perfect day for mischief. Periwinkle, ever the planner, had consulted the local squirrel’s cryptic chatter (translated, of course, with her exceptional feline intuition) and discovered a legendary stash of particularly delicious tuna hidden somewhere within Mrs. Higgins' prize-winning rose bushes. Stinky, easily swayed by the promise of tuna, immediately agreed to the daring heist.

Their plan was simple, yet audacious. Periwinkle, using her lithe body and superior climbing skills, would navigate the thorny rose bushes, while Stinky, with his uncanny ability to sniff out hidden treasures (a skill honed from years of scavenging behind the dumpster), would locate the tuna. The operation began smoothly. Periwinkle scaled the bushes with the grace of a seasoned acrobat, her movements a blur of grey fur. Stinky, meanwhile, his nose to the ground, followed a tantalizing scent trail that led him to a hidden crevice beneath a particularly lush rose. However, their smooth operation hit a snag. A small, but surprisingly ferocious, chihuahua named Princess Fluffybutt emerged from her midday nap, guarding the tuna stash with territorial ferocity.

A tense standoff ensued. Periwinkle, her eyes narrowed, assessed the situation. She couldn't fight Princess Fluffybutt head-on; the tiny tyrant was surprisingly strong. Instead, she employed a clever diversion. With a flick of her tail, she sent a flurry of rose petals raining down on the chihuahua, creating a momentary distraction. In that split second, Stinky, seizing his opportunity, snatched the tuna, and they both made a daring escape, sprinting back home, victorious and smelling gloriously of roses and tuna. June 17th had indeed proven to be a day of thrilling adventure for Periwinkle and Stinky, ending with a well-deserved feast.

Once again, no image was available so they used Leonardo.Ai

These AI Adventures tired the tabbies, so they went paw in paw to one of the big, cozy cat beds and took a short nap.

When they woke up, they spent time whisker kissing and paw patting until Stinky had to leave.  He said goodbye to Periwinkle's Mom and fursibs, entered the Teleportation Tunnel, and, with one last whisker kiss and a WOOSH, he headed home.  Periwinkle returned to the bed they had napped in and fell asleep again, dreaming of her handsome fiancé.

The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle paced back and forth in front of the Teleportation Tunnel.  She hoped her boyfriend, Stinky, wouldn't be disappointed in what she had planned for their Adventure today.  She knew any time they spent together was special but really liked to plan fun things to do.

Suddenly, she saw the Tunnel start to vibrate and with a WOOOSH, out popped Stinky.  They spent time whisker kissing and paw patting.  Stinky asked how Periwinkle's family was doing since her fursib Raz went to the Bridge.  Periwinkle said they were still very sad.  Stinky gave her an extra hug.

Soon, Stinky asked what the Adventure was for the day.  Periwinkle, apologetically, said they were staying at her house but that she hoped he liked what she planned.

"First, we need to celebrate International Box Day even though it was yesterday' she said.  Always happy to find a good box, Stinky agreed.  Periwinkle had an array of boxes for them to enjoy.  She chose a Chewy box...

Stinky picked an Amazon box!

They both giggled when they saw this house that had a ton of packages delivered by mistake and agreed that it could be like Box Heaven!

Next, Periwinkle explained that the next day was Summer Solstice.  Stinky (knowing how Periwinkle researched things) asked her about it.  Periwinkle explained..."The summer solstice is an astronomical phenomenon that happens annually and begins the summer season in the Northern Hemisphere.

It’s when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, resulting in the longest period of sunlight hours in the Northern Hemisphere and the least amount of sunlight in the Southern Hemisphere.

It begins on June 21 at 10:58 am ET, and Orlando is expected to see 14.9 hours of sunlight on this day.

When the North Pole is closest to the sun, it’s called the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. In contrast, when the North Pole points farthest from the sun, it’s called the winter solstice, which is the first day of winter, astronomically."

As always, Stinky was impurressed with Periwinkle's knowledge.Periwinkle told Stinky that there were lots of sites that explained more and showed how to celebrate.

and they watched a YouTube video...

"This was a fun Adventure," said Stinky.  Periwinkle told him they had one more thing to do and that was to remind their friends that it was now Hurricane Season and they needed to be purrpared.   They spent some time re-visiting their post from 2021 about Hurricane purrparedness.  (Click HERE to read it)

Finally, they decided to go to the beach for a picnic and to think about the Solstice and enjoy nature.

While they were there, they enjoyed a picnic lunch that Periwinkle's Mom made for them...

When they got back to Periwinkle's house, they spent some time visiting with her fursibs and Mom and then found a sunpuddle to nap in.  They shared whisker kisses and paw pats and soon it was time for Stinky to head home.  With one quick whisker kiss and a wave, Stinky headed back into the Teleportation Tunnel for his trip home.  Periwinkle went back to their napping spot and smiled to herself.  She was such a lucky ladycat to have such a wonderful boyfriend and she couldn't wait till their next Adventure.
