Thankful Thursday

Today we're thankful that we live in a place where there are so many really tasty  pretty birds and other kinds of cool wildlife (some that might think WE are tasty).

Mom and Dad went to visit the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge last week.  Today we're sharing the pictures that Dad put into a slideshow.  Isn't the cover picture great?  Dad caught all the tasty pretty birds as they took flight

Remember our pal Nick who went to the Bridge on Monday?  There is a GoFundMe account
set up in his memory to help fund feline cancer research.  Even if you didn't know Nick, many of us have lost furbabies to cancer.  There is very little research being done on cats.  Most of the research is done on canine cancer.   Please, if you can, donate to Nick's fund.  Even a dollar helps!

The head peep says she has always wanted to visit Merritt Island wildlife refuge, and now she really has to make time for it after seeing those photos!

We didn't know Nick, but we're sad for his friends. And we think that the idea of raising money for a cancer charity is a wonderful memorial for a cat who was obviously loved by a so many.

Those are great pictures and you are so fortunate to live there. We just get the typical backyard birdies that one gets in a city. M would never let me eat one even tho I think they do look tasty.

The photos are just gorgeous. We haven't seen many birds around since it has been so very cold here. We hope they are all finding food and water to stay healthy.

The swamp across the street doesnt have pretty birdies, but it doesnt have alligators either. The only thing we get from it are possums an mosquitos.
