Thankful Thursday.....home again

Our boy Angel Cubby is back home.

Included with his urn was a card from the staff at the ER vet as well as a card with Cubby's pawprint....

and a lock of his fur (which Mom was so upset she didn't think to get)

We also received this beautiful poem from our own VET  (biggify to read)

We're thankful to the Staff at the Animal Specialty and Emergency Hospital staff as well as our wonderful friends at our regular VET Seaside Veterinary Clinic for their kind words and thoughtfulness at this sad time.  We miss Cubby a lot and having him back with us helps a lot.  Mom found Allie sleeping on the table next to the urn the day he came back.

We do have one more thing we're thankful for.....we were the right guessers on Sammy's Tuesday Teaser.  Click HERE to go to Sammy's blog to see the cool place we identified.

That was so sweet of the vet. Mom Paula remembers her pleasant surprise and sadness when they sent her a lock of Sweet Praline's fur with the ashes. We're sending special thoughts and hugs.

Big hugs to you Sharon. I know just how hard it is to get the urn and the paw print. But glad that Cubby is home again. You all take care.

Very sad, but it was thoughtful of the vet to do the paw print and fur clipping. Our vet does the print, I am going to recommend the clipping of fur.

So nice to have wonderful and carrying vet doctors. You know Cubby was in the best hands and all that could be done for him was being done. My heart is heavy when I think of sweet Cubby but know he is with his Angel siblings. Now he is forever free of hurts. He can run free. Until we meet Cubby. <3

Welcome Home Cubby.....your place is there with the family that loved you every minute of your sweet life. We love the poem and all the lovely things included. When we're out of our mind with grief or fear, we forget things....and they know that so took care of the paw print and hair. Love that beautiful carved box that's Cubby's forever home.............

Sending Hugs,
Sammy and Mom Pam

That poem was so super sweet but made mommy start crying. She says she knows how impawtant it is to have Cubby back home again where he belongs. It was so nice of the vet that they did all those nice things for you. We know how close Allie felt to Cubby and know she also felt comforted to have him home. So sad and my heart goes out to you all but how kind of the vets and staff to be so thoughtful. My heart would feel a bit better knowing how well Cubby was treated. Cubby was so lucky to have been a member of your family... loved and respected until the very end. Hugs to you all!
