Today's letter is "E" and this week's prompts are
(1) Earth (2) Evil (3) Escape (4) Empty
Our poem is titled
EMPTY
A little ball of floofy fluff
The time is never ever enough.
A week ago you earned your wings
And that changed everything.
Our hearts are broken
No words are spoken.
The empty places you enjoyed
Now have such an awful void.
Dearest Ellie we miss you so
We wish you didn't have to go.
We'll see you again when we get to the Bridge
Look for us please from over the ridge.
We love you.
Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We are THANKFUL for all of our friends who have left comments or support and sympathy. As you might know, our Dad ended up in the hospital with a collapsed lung right after Ellie left us. We promise we will visit each of you soon. Mom also wants to thank everyone who has done a tribute, sent a card, sent a memento or did a graphic or blog post. We will be sharing them soon.
Mom belongs to a Facebook Group called The Birman Chronicles and they sent her these flowers....aren't they beautiful?

You wrote a moving tribute to Ellie. Wish we'd known her longer. Its hard to heal when you're worrying about another loved one in the hospital. Hoping your Dad is much better soon.
