Periwinkle was hanging out in her Ham-mick dreaming of her pal Stinky
All of a sudden she heard a WOOOSH outside her window. She looked out and there he was!!
Periwinkle quickly let him into the house and gave him a big hug. She was so thrilled to have him visit her.
"Hi Stinky! What's up? Does your Mom know you are here? I heard you went out on a little adventure without me the other day"
Embarrassed, Stinky looked down and sheepishly said "Yes, Periwinkle, I did a bad thing and got out of the house. Mom and Dad grounded me but said I was allowed to come to visit you for our weekly adventure."
"Well thank COD you didn't get lost or have something bad happen to you. I would be so upset if you got lost or if something WORSE happened."
Stinky agreed that what he did wasn't good and promised to do better. "It's just so tempting outside, there are all kinds of birds and fun things to see"
"I know Stinky but being safe is more important" Let's do something fun AND safe, okay? How would you like to visit the beach? It's like a great big litterbox where you can dig forever. I'll ask our Mom to drive us there."
Stinky thought that was a fun idea since it was nice and warm at Periwinkle's house. Her Mom agreed to take them and off they went.
"Wow Periwinkle, you're right...we could dig for hours here"
"I have something better to show you. This is where the sea turtles have come to nest" October 31 was the end of the season but I'm sure we can see at least one turtle today. Look, there's one now!"
"It's important to follow the rules during turtle season. No lights on or near the beach and don't disturb the nests."
Stinky had another idea....he wanted to learn to surf! Even though cats don't like to get their furs wet, he was brave and Periwinkle found a surfer who was willing to teach him the basics. After a few tries, Stinky was surfing like a pro!! Periwinkle was so proud of him!
After they finished surfing, they shared a picnic lunch on the beach that Periwinkle's Mom packed for them.
Too soon, it was time for Stinky to teleport home. They shared paw pats, headbonks and whisker kisses and he left for home. Both Periwinkle and Stinky promised to behave and hope you enjoyed their adventure!

surfing cats? wow that is fun! but I think they are made for this sports they are masters of balance ;O)
Oh boy! Learning to surf is amazing - I'd say Stinky had a great break from COLD Virginia down in WARM Florida with Periwinkle. These two are young and have a whole world of adventures waiting for them.
Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam
Looks like the perfect place to us! Though I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to try to surf.
That makes me want to go to the beach. I live four miles from the beach but haven't been there for over a month.
Wow, Periwinkle, that turtle was so cool. None of my fursibs have ever seen one, and the beach was so warm and inviting. I hope we can go there again. And I promise to try to be a better kitty. Mom and Dad put more screen up on Saturday, so I probably won't have a choice. It was just luck that my dad discovered me outside.
I am already looking forward to seeing you next week for our adventure. I ❣️ you, Stinky
