The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle stood near the Teleportation Tunnel and tried to hear if Stinky was on his way.  She hoped he wouldn't be disappointed in what they were doing today.  With Safer-At-Home restrictions in place, there weren't a lot of fun places they could go (even though cats can't get the You-Know-What).

With a WOOSH Stinky was there!  The two did slow blinks to each other and then ran to each other and shared hugs, paw pats and whisker kisses.  They were so happy to be together.

Stinky asked Periwinkle why she looked concerned.  "I hope you like what we're doing today.  I am trying to follow all the precautions and so we're staying close to my house."   "That's okay with me," said Stinky, "as long as we're together, it will be fun."

Relieved, Periwinkle told Stinky that, since Easter was on Sunday, they were going to have an Easter Egg hunt.  "That sounds like fun," said Stinky.

The two grabbed baskets that Periwinkle's Mom gave them and headed outside for their Easter Egg hunt.

"Whooo Hoooo, I got one," said Stinky.

"Good job," said Periwinkle!!  I'm proud of you getting the first one.  Stinky blushed.

"I found a pretty pink one in the mango tree," said Periwinkle!   Stinky smiled, he loved to see how happy Periwinkle got.

Stinky suggested that they try to find the others together.  They found a blue one in the plumeria tree...

and a green one at the bird feeder!

"Periwinkle, that plant is a Christmas Cactus, it must be very confused!"  They both giggled and snapped up the purple egg.

One of the solar cats was holding an egg in it's paws...

Stinky and Periwinkle decided to take a memory photo with the solar cats!

The two continued looking and all of a sudden Periwinkle said "Stinky!  Be careful, you don't want to get your furs wet!'  Stinky found an egg on the cat float in the pool!

As much fun as the egg hunt was, the two tabbies decided it was time to go inside and have a snack and cool off.  After they had their snack, they took a couple more memory photos with the Easter decorations.

It was time for Stinky to head home.  The two spent some time holding paws and sharing whisker kisses.  This was always the hardest part of their adventures, having to leave each other.  "Have a Happy Easter" said Periwinkle.  "Happy Easter to you too" replied Stinky.  One more whisker kiss and WOOOOSH, Stinky was headed home.  As always, Periwinkle had to wipe a tear from her eyes.  She sure was crazy about that tabby!
