The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

As always, Periwinkle was super excited because it was Tuesday and she was going to see her special guy Stinky.  She knew Stinky had a rough week with a couple seizures and she hoped he wouldn't mind that she planned a less tiring adventure for them.

She put her ear to the Teleportation Tunnel and heard a faint WOOOSH so she jumped back and all of a sudden Stinky had arrived!!

The two rushed to each other and hugged, shared whisker kisses and headbonks.  "What's the plan for today?" asked Stinky.  Periwinkle said she had a hard time finding something to do with everything closed up for the YOU-KNOW-WHAT but she found a pretty place where they could visit without anyone else around.  "I'm in!" replied Stinky.  The two jumped into the Teleportation Tunnel and off they went!

When they got out Stinky saw this sign.  He looked around and was amazed by the beauty he saw all around him.

Periwinkle told him that the Tulip Festival was canceled for humans unless they wanted a virtual visit but that, as cats, they could wander the fields and enjoy the beautiful colors.  They took a few minutes just to take in the fields and then set out to see them up close.

The sun was just coming up and there was a mist in the fields.  Both Periwinkle and Stinky wanted to be home before it got too hot so they had an early start.

Stinky said "Periwinkle, this field is so amazing!  I love the pretty purple color.  It reminds me of your sisfur Allie."  Periwinkle giggled at her cute boyfriend standing in the purple tulips.

The two explored the other fields and occasionally stopped to take photos.  It was a beautiful day and there wasn't anyone around.

 "Hey Stinky, look at our reflections!  It's like there are two of each of us and your relfection is just as handsome as you are"  said Periwinkle.  Stinky blushed but was secretly pleased that Periwinkle thought he was handsome!

Always the adventurer, Stinky had to climb on the windmill.  Periwinkle loved how much fun Stinky was!

"Periwinkle, I'm getting hungry, is there someplace we can get a snack around here?"  Periwinkle was prepared and took Stinky over to a spot where she had arranged for a picnic for the two of them.

As much as they hated to leave, the two tabbies knew it was time to get into the Teleportation Tunnel and head back to Periwinkle's house.   Stinky and Periwinkle spent some time hugging, whisker kissing and holding paws.  Stinky said hi to Periwinkle's fursibs Raz and Allie.  Allie asked him to send love and smoochies to her husband Mauricio when he got home.  Stinky promised he would.

All too soon, it was time for Stinky to return home.  One last hug and into the tunnel he went.  With a WOOOSH he was one his way.  Periwinkle held one purple tulip in her paw that Sinky had picked for her, wiped a tear, and started counting the days till their next adventure.
