Poetic Thankful Thursday

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

The Bar
Once upon a time
Drinks were a dime
You could have a drink
Most likely not pink!
Beverages here are serious stuff
The crowd might be a little rough.

Today is also Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

We are, again, THANKFUL that our family and friends are all doing well.  We are also THANKFUL that Mom found a car that she likes and one that we can all fit in if we had to evacuate.  It even has room for MORE CATS.....we're not sure we're THANKFUL about that part.

That is an impressive bar - they don't make them like that anymore! Love the poem!

We always love your short and very fun poems. Glad you are safe too and it is nice Mom found a car. Our cat rescue friend has car problems every month and Dad keeps telling her to get another one and she always gets some odd thing that continues to fix-it saga. We tell her to get a new fix-it guy too! Purrs

Mom liked your poem. The photo made her think of gunslingers and barmaids, but she just couldn’t put it together. We too are all happy your mom now has reliable transportation. Sawyer sends Noelle paw-pats, whisker kisses and oodles of purrs. What a super poem! Love it! Totally fits the photo. I'm sure there were very few pink things in that entire saloon including drinks.....HAHAHA

This was such a great poem and went well with how bars were back then to nowadays. It's wonderful to read that your mom found a car she likes. Maybe some fun adventures in the near future. Thanks for the share. Have a great rest of your day.
