The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle stood by the Teleportation Tunnel so excited that her steady boyfriend Stinky was on the way.  She always looked forward to Tuesday since that was their special day together.  Suddenly the Teleportation Tunnel shook a little and with a WOOSH, there he was.  Both tabbies had big smiles on their faces as they rushed to each other.  They spent some time sharing paw pats and whisker kisses and just being happy to be together.

After a few minutes, Stinky asked what the plans were for the day.  "We're going to take a lesson today," said Periwinkle.  Stinky frowned.  He didn't think going to school sounded like any fun.  Periwinkle giggled when she saw his face.  "Don't worry, this will be fun" she said.  Stinky was skeptical but went along with it.

"We're taking a class in building sand sculptures," said Periwinkle.  "Oh...that sounds like fun" replied Stinky.  Periwinkle explained that they would be taking a virtual class because the sandsculpture building school was on the other side of the state and they would be building theirs on the beach where she lived.
Stinky thought that was a great idea.  "I had no idea there was a school for building sand sculptures," he said.

The two watched the class on Periwinkle's Mom's computer and then she took them to the beach to try their paw at building one themselves.

Once they got to the beach, the two ran right up eager to get started.

Before they got started, Periwinkle and Stinky observed some people building their own castles.

Soon they were digging their paws in the sand and starting their own.  Both giggled that they were used to digging but not like this!

After a while, they were done with their first one and stepped back to admire it!

Periwinkle and Stinky both started doing separate ones.  Periwinkle finished first and proudly showed it to Stinky.  Stinky told her how much he liked it and how sweet it was that she put their names in a heart.
"I wanted the whole world to see how much I care for you and that we were going steady" said Periwinkle.  Stinky smiled.  He felt the same way.

"VROOM VROOM said Stinky" which made Periwinkle giggle.  He made a sandcastle car!

For their final creation, they made a snowman.  They were both happy that they were using sand and not snow!

When they were done, the two enjoyed the picnic snack that Periwinkle's Mom packed for them.

Periwinkle called her Mom who came to pick them up.  Back at the house, they spent some time snuggling, sharing whisker kisses and paw pats.  Stinky thanked Periwinkle's Mom for taking them to the beach and packing a snack.  He also spent some time catching up with her fursibs.

This was the part neither of them liked....it was time for Stinky to go home.  With one last whisker kiss, Stinky entered the Teleportation Tunnel and WOOOSH, he was on his way home.   Periwinkle wiped a tear from her eye and looked for a sun puddle to nap in and dream of her special guy.

(Yes, there is a real Sand Sculpture school.  It's called Beach Sand Sculptures!)

Mom Sharon, will you please delete our other comment with the weird misspelling. We weren’t finished when Mom goofed and published it. The sand sculptures are really cool. Our tabbies are so clever to build a snowman in the sand. Sand sculpture school sure sounds like more fun than regular school. We are always happy to see Periwinkle and Stinky together and enjoying themselves. Sending lots of love from their fursibs, Misty May, Giulietta, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
