The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky and an Important Announcement

Waiting by the Teleportation Tunnel, Periwinkle quickly looked at her furs to ensure everything was perfect for when her boyfriend Stinky arrived.   She couldn't wait to see him.   Somehow, the weeks seemed soooo long and the time they spent together on Tuesdays went by so FAST.

With a familiar WOOSH, he popped out of the tunnel and landed right in front of her.  They spent some time whisker kissing, sharing paw pats and catching up on what they did since last Tuesday.  Finally, Stinky asked what they were going to do that day.  Periwinkle told him they were going over the causeway to a little area known as EGAD or Eau Gallie Arts District.   Stinky was intrigued and happily joined her in the car so Periwinkle's Mom could drive them the short distance.

When they got out of the car Stinky gasped!  "OH MY COD, did we just drive over THAT?"

Periwinkle reminded Stinky that she lived on a barrier island and that the causeway was the only way to get to the mainland.  Stinky remembered her telling him that and hoped she didn't think he was afraid of the causeway (although he was a teeny bit scared of it).

"Let's get a photo here at the sign before we start our adventure," said Periwinkle.

Periwinkle told Stinky they were going to look at some murals and pulled up the EGAD mural map on her phone and they started their tour.

"Wow, that's a lot of murals, will we have time to see all of them? asked Stinky.  "Not today but we'll see some of my favorites" she replied.

First, they went to the bandshell by the entrance sign to see the mural on the back.  Both agreed it was super!

Next, they consulted the map and headed over to the Astronaut.   "If you look into his helmet, you can see the reflection of the street," said Periwinkle.

They spotted the hummingbird and were amazed at the detail.

The yummy smells from the bakery lead them over to the cool mural of people.

The bakery smells made them hungry so they decided to stop for a snack at a little Irish Pub.  On the way there, they passed this fun mural.

They were really impurresssed with the variety of Fancy Feast and Temptations the pub had and they enjoyed the cool breezes coming off the river.

Refreshed from their snack, Periwinkle told Stinky they headed out again.  First, they crossed the street again (after carefully looking up and down to make sure there were no cars).  "Wow, this Peacock is amazing," said Stinky.  Periwinkle agreed.

Going back, Stinky ran up to one of the murals and shouted "FEV-VERS!!"   Periwinkle giggled and said they were pawsome feathers but they couldn't play with them because they were painted.

Taking Stinky's paw, Periwinkle said she wanted to show him something else that was not a mural but she thought he would like.  "I know you have mosaics on your house and I thought you would enjoy seeing this one,"  she said.   Stinky agreed that it was pretty amazing.

Periwinkle called her Mom to come to pick them  up and they waited on the boardwalk holding paws and
enjoying each other's company.

When they returned to Periwinkle's house, they visited with her brofur Raz and her Mom and then spent some time whisker kissing and snuggling together.  They were both tired and had a quick nap before it was time for Stinky to head home.

"I really enjoyed seeing the murals today," said Stinky.  Periwinkle gave him the website to look at others and show his Mom and Dad and fursibs.  With a quick whisker kiss, Stinky headed into the Teleportation Tunnel and headed home.  As always, Periwinkle had a tear in her eye when he left and decided to find a sun puddle and start counting the days until they would be together again.

That was a fun jaunt you two! Our Dad used to go to Eau Gallie every summer when he was a kitten. That was way before Disney but some of the Cape was there.
