The 4th of July Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle sat at the Teleportation Tunnel eagerly awaiting the arrival of her boyfriend, Stinky.  She hoped the boomers at his house were not bad the last few days and that he would enjoy the Adventure she had planned for today.  She didn't have to wait long to hear the familiar WOOSH and out he tumbled right into her paws.  They spent time whisker kissing and paw patting.  Stinky said the boomies were not too bad and asked Periwinkle how things were at her house.  She said the boomies started Saturday night and were really loud and scary.

Periwinkle took Stinky's paw and they headed out to her Mom's car.  She told Stinky they had to hurry because they were going to a 4th of July parade.

Periwinkle told Stinky they were headed to the annual 4th of July Parade in a nearby town that was on the mainland.  They quickly arrived and Periwinkle promised her Mom she would call her when the parade is over.  The Tabbies found a good viewing spot in time for the start of the parade.

Both Periwinkle and Stinky noticed that people were smiling an pointing at them.  Finally, a nice lady came over and said word had spread that the famous Periwinkle and Stinky were there and asked if they would like to be part of the parade.  Both tabbies said "YES PLEASE" and off they went!

No sooner did they get to their vehicle when the parade started.  They were so excited to hear all the cheers and how many people called out their names!

The tabbies were invited to a 4th of July lunch and they were surprised to see how nice the selection of Temptations was.

Back at Periwinkle's house, Stinky admired the decorations...

They talked about the scary boomies and Stinky asked how Noelle was doing.  Periwinkle said her Mom was letting Noelle hang out with Huggy Kitty like she did for New Year's Eve.  Stinky remembered seeing Noelle in the closet with Huggy Kitty.

Periwinkle said Huggy Kitty was all ready for the fireworks.

Before he had to leave, Stinky and Periwinkle helped Periwinkle's Mom put the flags out around her house.

Soon it was time for Stinky to head home. They spent some time snuggling, whisker kissing and paw patting and then he got into the Teleportation Tunnel to head home.  "I sure hope you don't have too many boomies" said Stinky as he stepped into the tunnel.

Periwinkle and Stinky, Noelle and Reesie and Mom Sharon wish you a safe, QUIET and happy Independence Day!

Sweet Noelle, Precious had to hide from the fireworks our community set off Saturday night. The individuals have been a bit quiet because we've had rain Saturday night and Sunday night. Made them stay inside for a change. But tonight on the 4th we have dry weather and it will be very loud and scary.

I would wish you just enough rain to put a damper on the fireworks, but usually that only means people set them off for days to come instead and it seems to never end. Instead i wish they run out early.

A blessed and beautiful Indpendence Day to all!

How fun that Periwinkle and Stinky got to be part of the parade and that so many people recognized them. And Mom Sharon did such a great job decorating. And the flags in the yard are a particularly nice touch. Sawyer sends Noelle all his love and lots of whisker kisses. He’s happy she has huggy kitty to help her feel safe. Love to all and happy 4th! 🇺🇸XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

A Fourth of July Parade, now tha would be fun!!
Its too hot here right now so we don't mind not having a parade...

Our town has an Air show and a Balloon festival here, each July long weekend, and today a lot of balloons were in the sky over our house, and some were coming down in the field across from our house. Benji was more frightened that we've ever seen him...Dalton not so much. All those huge 'things' and their noisy whooshing burners likely made Benji feel like we were having a UFO invasion, LOL!
Then there were loud jets flying over...and now the boomers...sheesh!

Happy Independence Day!

What a brilliant idea to join in the town's 4th of July celebration! Especially being on the red jeep that was decorated and having a special lunch......hopefully no big boomies to deal with like WE had!
