The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle was crossing her paws that today's Adventure would turn out as planned.  She didn't know if it would but knew that any time she and Stinky were together was purrfect!  The Teleportation Tunnel started to shake and, with the usual WOOSH, out popped Stinky.  They spent time whisker kissing, paw patting and catching up on the previous week.  Stinky said "wow, it really is a lot colder than the last time I was here."  Periwinkle agreed and said she hoped that would mean their Adventure would go as planned.  Stinky caught on right away and said, "We're going to see manatees, aren't we?"  Periwinkle said she had her paws crossed but, so far, there didn't seem to be any.  They decided to go look anyway and jumped into Periwinkle's Mom's car for the short ride.

As soon as they arrived at the viewing spot, they knew there were no manatees.  They were greeted by this lone bird (sorry Tabbies) who told them the manatees had not arrived.

They were disappointed but decided to spend some time in the area.  Of course, Stinky had to take a picture with this sign...

Fortunately, there were no Alligators hanging around.  Neither tabby wanted to be some gator's lunch!

They did notice that the water level was low and wondered if that was why there were no manatees.

They stopped to visit with this kitty that they remembered from the previous visits.

Periwinkle suggested that, since they couldn't see any live manatees, they return to her house and watch some online.  Stinky agreed and they headed back to her house.  Periwinkle's Mom helped them set up the laptop and they spent some time watching videos.

They watched a video about the Florida Manatee...

And they watched a live cam of manatees...

Periwinkle printed out some manatee coloring pages and they spent some time coloring together.

When they finished they were both hungry so they had a quick snack...

Stinky visited with Periwinkle's fursibs and her Mom and they spent some time snuggling, whisker kissing and paw patting before it was time for him to return home.  Periwinkle promised she would keep watching for the manatees and would let him know if/when they returned.

Stinky entered the Teleportation Tunnel and, with a WOOSH and one last whisker kiss, Stinky was on his way home.  Periwinkle found a sun puddle and napped while dreaming about her handsome fiance.

Now I kinda want to know if gators leave manatees alone and they coexist peacefully!

A wonderful adventure. It was warm and that was the best part. It's cold most everywhere right now. You two have the best of times.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to you both and my best to your wonderful moms. ♥

We love those manatees, too. Such a nice way to spend the day doing all kinds of manatee-centric activities. XO

I wouldn't go anywhere there was a chance of seeing a gator. :) XO

Stinky and Periwinkle always enjoy their time together even if they didn't get to see the manatees they had FUN! My Mom says she thinks manatees are very huggable (unlike alligators who aren't cuddly AT ALL!). Looks like a wonderful visit this week - maybe next time the manatees will have arrived?!

Hugs, Teddy
