It was finally a bit warmer in Florida and Periwinkle was taking advantage of a nice sun puddle for a snooze. She was dreaming about her handsome fiance, Stinky, and their Saturday fun.
Periwinkle remembered every second, right from his arrival.....
The Teleportation Tunnel started to shake and, with a WOOSH, Stinky tumbled out. Periwinkle was waiting and caught him in her paws and the two shared whisker kisses and paw pats for a while. Periwinkle took Stinky by the paw and they headed to her Mom's car for a short trip to begin their Adventure. They were at the Space Coast Convention Center for Space Cats Florida Convention!
When they checked in, they got the schedule for the day. The tabbies knew they would have to leave early for Stinky to head home so they quickly reviewed the schedule and planned their route.
The first presentation they wanted to watch was about Cat-Friendly Vets. Both agreed they didn't want to EVER go to the stabby place but agreed it was necessary. While they waited, they walked around to see what vendors there were.
First, they stopped at the Hide N Scratch booth. They spent some time talking with the owner and actually got a scratcher for a review (watch for it in the coming days). They also got a big bag of catnip to share when they got back to Periwinkle's house!
There were lots of cool vendors with t-shirts and other items for the humans and nip blankets and toys for kitties. Of course, Stinky had to climb on one of the displays. Periwinkle rolled her eyes but didn't say anything since it seemed fairly safe.
Stinky ran off and Periwinkle couldn't believe where she found him next! She gasped and said "Stinky, how did you get inside that?" Stinky didn't tell her but managed to get out and take her paw. "I'm sorry, you know how I like to climb and get into things" he said.
"Here's one for you," said Periwinkle. Stinky was sorry he upset Periwinkle but smiled when he saw what she meant. They were at the Calming Creek booth. Periwinkle spent some time talking to Melissa Sherman who is an animal communicator. They talked about her sisfur Noelle and how she gets scared easily. Periwinkle promised to give Melissa's card to her Mom.
It was time for the first presentation so the tabbies took their seats to listen and take notes. It didn't take long for Stinky to go up to the stage to get a closer look. The speaker was Ellen Carozza from The Cat LVT.
The presentation was very informative. Periwinkle mentioned that her Mom might be looking for a new VET for them since the one they had before retired. Her Mom wanted a VET that was Cat-Centric. They made sure they took lots of notes.
They decided to take the time before her presentation to visit the Lunar Lounge and the adoptable kitties.
They were told that a lot of the kitties had already been adopted which made them happy. They said hi to the ones waiting for their forever homes.
Axel is only 4 months old and super sweet.
Kittens Eric and Ernie were having a blast and were already adopted!
As much as they wanted to hang out with the kitties, they knew they had to get their seats for Kate Benjamin's presentation so they said goodbye and wished the kitties good luck in finding their new families.
Once again, Stinky had to go up to the stage. At least he didn't climb too high this time! The presentation was on designing a cat-friendly home and there were lots of great tips.
The importance of places to hide (which Periwinkle was super interested in since Noelle likes to hide).
They even got a photo with one of the portraits.
They spent some time with the ladies from The Kitten Angel Rescue. They do great work and are located near Periwinkle's house. The ladies encouraged Periwinkle to have her Mom come by their adoption events even if it's just to cuddle the kittens.
A quick stop at the Litter Robot before heading home...
There were lots of other vendors. They purchased magnets from Chester and Pearl for their Moms.
When they got back to Periwinkle's house, Stinky visited with her Mom and fursibs. They told them all about the fun day they had. Stinky hopped into the Teleportation Tunnel and after blowing one last whisker kiss to Periwinkle he headed home!

Chaplin: "We're glad so many cats found homes and we are purring for Hailey to find a home soon too!"
Charlee: "Yes, I can get behind that."
Oona: "Where was the vendor selling ninja gear? Oona did not see a picture of it."
I think I would have enjoyed some of those presentations. Someday a litter robot would be a great thing to have.
