Periwinkle sat in front of the Teleportation Tunnel and groomed her furs as she waited for the arrival of her fiance, Stinky. She didn't have to wait too long before the Tunnel started to shake and, with a WOOOSH, he flew out into her waiting paws. Seeing Stinky always made her heart race with joy and they both felt the excitement of being together again. They spent time whisker kissing and paw patting and then Stinky asked what they would be doing. Periwinkle said they were doing something they had done before but was super impawtent. "We're going to remind our readers about World Spay Day" she said.
Stinky said he didn't mind repeating something so impawtent. "I remember what you told me last time, World Spay Day was launched in 1995, World Spay Day is an annual campaign that aims to encourage people to save animal lives by spaying and neutering companion animals and feral cats. World Spay Day itself is celebrated annually on the fourth Tuesday in February. Still, the event, no matter how big or small, can take place anytime throughout February, which is recognized as Spay/Neuter Awareness Month." Periwinkle was impurressed that he remembered so much about the event and told him so. Always modest, Stinky blushed but was pleased with the compliment. Both tabbies gasped when they saw how many kittens could be born from one unspayed cat.
Stinky told Periwinkle that all the Kitties Blue were spayed or neutered. Periwinkle said her fusibs Noelle and Reesie were too. Periwinkle said, "Sadly, many kitties are euthanized because they can't find homes."
Stinky added, "There are a lot of other reasons to Spay and Neuter too. I found a chart that explains some of the reasons.
Both tabbies agreed that spaying and neutering helps there be fewer animals without homes and keeps them safe and happy.
Stinky enjoyed the warm weather since it was still cold at his house. They savored their snack and then spent some time visiting with Periwinkle's Mom and fursibs. They also snuggled and whisker kissed for a bit. Soon it was time for Stinky to re-enter the Teleportation Tunnel to go home. With a WOOSH, he was on his way home. Periwinkle decided to find a sun spot and take a nap.

A really important message from Periwinkle and Stinky today! Well done, tabbies!
What a great post for World Spay Day. There are so many unwanted kitties and pups in shelters all over the world because people don't realize how important it is to have their animals spayed.
Hugs, Teddy

A wonderful post about the importance of spaying. Our kitties are both spayed and we're happy about that. It's the responsible thing to do.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the kitties and a hug to the moms. ♥

What a super important post today, Periwinkle and Stinky. Thank you!
It is so, so important and I just wish so many humans weren't so utterly stupid about it.
Such an important message. XO
Keep preaching the message, we need it more than ever.
Wow, loved the entire post and all the pictures! We are all spayed/neutered and chipped of course.
The euthemisms parts were sad. With more spay operations, there would be fewer the Shelter had to kill. And we didnt know that about black cats. TBT is now even gladder that he adopted Binq from the Shelter.
Oona: "When Oona was a tiny kitten and she first met her Mama and Dada at her Dada's aunt's house, Dada's cousin who had rescued Oona was telling Mama and Dada all about how hard it was for her to find homes for black cats. Oona is not sure if that played a part in how Oona ended up going home with her Mama and Dada that day, but she is happy with how things turned out."
