The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

 

Periwinkle stood by the Teleportation Tunnel, eagerly awaiting the arrival of her handsome fiancé, Stinky.  She hoped he would be on time, but she knew he usually was, so she shouldn't worry.  She had a few different things planned for their Adventure and didn't want to miss out on any of them.  At exactly the appointed time, the Tunnel began to shake and, with the familiar WOOSH, out popped Stinky.  Periwinkle had to move quickly because they almost crashed into each other.  They giggled and spent time whisker-kissing and paw-patting.  Periwinkle said, "I know it seems early in the season, but Mom saw this photo of manatees at our favorite viewing spot, and I thought we should go look for them."  Stinky was thrilled to hear that, so they quickly hopped into Periwinkle's Mom's car to head to the park.

                                 

They were disappointed when they arrived because there were NO manatees anywhere!

It was a beautiful day, so the two spent some time enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful blue sky.

Both gasped when they saw this sign.  Periwinkle explained that there was a crocodile in the area that had been removed twice but kept coming back.  Stinky quickly stepped away.

Since there were no Manatees, the tabbies headed back to Periwinkle's house.  One of their regular Adventures is bringing disguises to turkeys this time of year.  They decided to pick a couple of turkey farms to send their disguises to this year since they couldn't decide on just one.  Periwinkle told Stinky she shipped bags of disguises to quite a few farms.

They reminisced about previous years, 

They laughed when they remembered the colorful turkeys!

They took turns saying some fun turkey facts.

First, Periwinkle said, “The dangly thing on a turkey’s nose is called a snood. An extremely silly name. They also sleep in trees at night to stay safe. Big birds need big balance!”

Stinky added: “When a turkey is excited or showing off, its skin changes color—red, blue, or even white! Imagine if our furs did that. And, wild turkeys can fly! Not super far, but enough to surprise a cat looking up, which would be purrfect BirdTV!

Periwinkle went out of the room and came back with a smile on her face. "I know we have some time before your Gotcha Day and your Mom will probably have a celebration for you, but I wanted to do something special today.

I thought a little snack of cake and nip wine would be a nice celebration."  Stinky agreed and thanked her for being so thoughtful.  While they enjoyed their treat, they downloaded some cute coloring photos of turkeys in disguises.

It was almost time for Stinky to leave, but they remembered they needed to take the annual photo with Mr. Turkey

They also wanted to share some 'toons of turkeys in disguise...

They took a short nap, spent some time whisker kissing and paw patting before Stinky had to leave for his house.  One more whisker kiss, and he hopped into the Teleportation Tunnel and, with a WOOSH, Stinky headed home.

Periwinkle went back to the table and spent some time coloring the pictures of turkeys in disguise.
