The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle sat by the Teleportation Tunnel and waited for her fiancé, Stinky, to arrive.  She couldn't wait to see him since it had been a whole week since their last Adventure.  She had a couple of things planned and knew he would be on time.  Right at the appointed time, the Tunnel started to shake and, with a WOOSH, he flew out, tumbled over a couple of times, and landed right in front of her.  They laughed, hugged, and whisker-kissed.  Stinky didn't have to ask what was planned because Periwinkle told him right away.  "Today's Adventure is special because we are celebrating two important events."  She handed him a birthday hat, and he grinned.  "I know yesterday was Reesie's birthday, and I figured we might be celebrating."
The two called Reesie, and she quickly came to see what they wanted.  They both giggled and shouted "SURPRISE," which really DID surprise Reesie.  "What is this? Yesterday was my birthday," she said.  They told her they wanted to celebrate with her and, since Stinky wasn't there the previous day, they were making her birthday part of their Adventure.  She smiled and posed with the Birthday Girl hat while thanking them.

They toasted Reesie with a niptini...

Stinky told her he had his brother, Cooper Murphy, bake her a cake.  Reesie asked him to thank Cooper Murphy for the fabulous cake.
After the birthday party, both tabbies excused themselves and came back dressed for Valentine's Day! Each wore festive clothes and brought nip treats in heart-shaped boxes!  "I figured we should have our own Valentine's Day since we won't be together on Saturday," said Stinky.  Periwinkle said she had the same thought.

Periwinkle had some facts about Valentine's Day to share. "Valentine's Day stems from ancient Roman and Christian traditions, with the most popular story featuring Saint Valentine, a 3rd-century priest who defied Emperor Claudius II by secretly marrying soldiers, leading to his imprisonment and execution on February 14th, where he supposedly wrote a farewell note, "From your Valentine," to his jailer's daughter who he had cured from blindness and fell in love with, popularizing the phrase. The day's association with love grew in the Middle Ages, influenced by poets like Chaucer and linked to spring birds, evolving into the modern holiday of romance with cards, flowers, and chocolates."  Stinky was impurressed.

Before Periwinkle could stop him, Stinky decided to look at the Valentine's decorations. Of course, he had to climb up high, which made Periwinkle let out a loud sigh.

They spent time whisker-kissing, paw-patting, and napping in the sun.  When they woke up, they were hungry, and Periwinkle's Mom fixed them a snack...

After their snack, both tabbies excused themselves again.  They came back and giggled because they each wrote Valentine's love letters!

Stinky's to Periwinkle...

Periwinkle's to Stinky...

Periwinkle said, "Oh, Stinky, I think it is so wonderful that you and I think alike.  I am so lucky to have you as my fiancé!"  Stinky agreed that they were like-minded, which made their relationship so special.

It was time for Stinky to re-enter the Teleportation Tunnel to go home.  He thanked Periwinkle's Mom for the snack, wished Reesie a Happy Birthday again, and hugged Noelle, knowing how much she missed Angel Sawyer.  After a few more whisker kisses, he entered the Teleportation Tunnel and, with a WOOSH, headed home. Periwinkle went back to their napping spot and snuggled in, dreaming of Stinky.

Periwinkle and Stinky hope you have a purrfect Valentine's Day and hope you will be THEIR Valentine!
