Periwinkle couldn't wait to see the Teleportation Tunnel start to shake, since that meant Stinky was about to arrive. As she waited, she groomed her furs and thought about the plan for the day. She didn't have to wait long since the Tunnel shook and with a WOOSH, Stinky popped out right into her waiting paws. The two giggled, whisker-kissed, and paw-patted for a while.
"So what are we doing today?" asked Stinky. Periwinkle said it was a two-part Adventure. One was a PSA of something they did previously, and another was helping her Mom. Periwinkle continued, " Stinky, did you remember that March is National Pet Poison Prevention Month?" He laughed and said, "Does that mean I’m not supposed to lick random things off the floor?" Rolling her eyes, she responded, "Which is exactly why humans need reminders this month. Lots of things that smell good—or look interesting—can actually make pets very sick. This month is all about helping pet parents learn what household items can be dangerous for pets and what to do in an emergency. Organizations like the ASPCA and the Pet Poison Helpline spend the month sharing tips to keep pets safe. So basically… humans learn how to stop us from doing questionable things.
Here are some things pets should never EAT or play with:
- Chocolate
- Grapes and raisins
- Onions and garlic
- Macadamia nuts
- Xylitol (in gum, candy, some peanut butter)
- Alcohol
- Raw bread dough
- Artificial sweeteners
- Large amounts of fatty table scraps
Tip: Make sure dropped food is safe for pets before letting them eat it.
Many houseplants and outdoor plants can be dangerous, too. That’s why humans should check if plants are pet-safe first.
Lilies (very dangerous for cats)
Aloe plants
Sago palms
Pets can also get sick from
Stinky was impurressed by all the good information Periwinkle had. He added, "Stay curious but stay safe and remember not everything is a snack!" Periwinkle smiled and hugged him. "You're so smart!" she said. He blushed and hugged her back. He always felt good when she complimented him.
Periwinkle said, "Now for our second part of the Adventure. We're helping Mom put up the St Patrick's decorations! Stinky hopped up and down and clapped his paws since he always enjoyed decorating with Periwinkle. Of course, he chose to do the top of the entertainment center so he could climb up without upsetting Periwinkle...
And the teddy bear...
Periwinkle said, "Let's go inside for a snack!" She knew snacks would cheer him up. Stinky smiled and, paw in paw, they went into the house where her Mom had set out Temptations and Churus for them.
After their snack, they took a quick nap, spent time whisker-kissing and paw-patting before Stinky had to go home. Periwinkle's Mom thanked them for their decorating help, and Stinky thanked her for their snack. With one last whisker-kiss, he jumped into the Teleportation Tunnel and, with a WOOSH, headed home.
Periwinkle cleaned up from their snack and went back to where they napped to have another snooze and dream of Stinky.
Periwinkle and Stinky tried making a Sora video. We have it embedded in two different ways. We hope you like the video. Please let us know which one is best. We know Stinky has a tail, and Periwinkle is calling him Pete, but this was one of our first tries!
We did a second one that got Periwinkle's name right. Which do you like best?

Good tips and advice...And I liked those cute videos. The last one was the best cause the name was correct.
we love this teddy bear... and we bet it has the best irish good luck power
The decorations look fabulous for St. Pat's day - we don't decorate here but it sure look festive there! As for the videos - we think the second one is the bestest one!!!
Hugs, Teddy (and Mom)
Periwinkle did a great job researching for today's adventure. The decorations are exceptional. Our mom has absolutely nothing for St. Patrick's Day. Stinky was hoping to celebrate that next week but may need to change his plans. The videos were super cute and funny! Your mango tree looks like our camellia. We hope they both come back. Mom thinks the camellia will need to be cut way back. Angel Sawyer sends Noelle his forever love. Charlee: "This is good information for people to know! Our Dada's toothpaste has lots of xylitol in it and he treats that like it's radioactive material when it comes to keeping it away from the dogs!"
What a great post and information. We need to make sure our babies are safe.
I love the decorations. Well done.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the kitties and a big hug to their moms. ♥
I like the last one best, they are all cute. Good job on the decorating. I have not tried to make a video with AI, just a few pictures and cartoons.
6 cats and a human kitten....I am a wee bit OCD with certain things. No plants in the house. Cats don't get any human food apart from chicken.

Good reminders about those things that are toxic to cats, Periwinkle and Stinky. We love how you decorated, and we enjoyed the videos (even if it changed Stinky's name to "Pete").
Such great information and reminders! The decorations are such fun, too. Have a great week!
