The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

 

Periwinkle was so happy because it was Tuesday and that meant her handsome boyfriend, Stinky, would be arriving soon for their adventure.  She paced back and forth and put her ear to the Teleportation Tunnel hoping to hear that familiar WOOOSH and, no sooner did she step back, Stinky flew out of the Tunnel and into her paws.  They both giggled and spent some time whisker kissing, paw patting and catching up on the past week.

"Did you have many Trick or Treaters come to your house" asked Stinky.   Periwinkle said that most of the Trick or Treaters went to a street a few blocks away that does a big block party but there were a few.  "Were you scared?" he asked.  Periwinkle said she stayed in the bedroom with her fursibs and was okay.  Stinky said he was brave too.  Periwinkle smiled and said "I knew you would be because your such a brave and handsome ManCat" which made Stinky blush.  

"What are we doing today?" asked Stinky.   Periwinke said they were celebrating a birthday which confused Stinky since he knew it wasn't hers or his.  "Remember when we went to Sesame Place and visited with Cookie Monster" she asked.  He nodded and asked if they were going back.  Periwinkle said they weren't but it was Cookie Monster's birthday so they were going to have a party!  

Stinky said "Remember when we had snacks with Cookie Monster and Elmo?   We sure had fun."

Both Tabbies said Cookie Monster was super cute when he was little.

Periwinkle told Stinky some little known facts about Cookie Monster:

1. Cookie Monster’s first name is Sid. 

2. Cookie Monster is left-handed! 

3. Cookie Monster has five fingers on each hand (probably to eat more cookies). All the others only have four. 

4. Cookie Monster used to have pointy teeth. 

5. Cookie Monster’s bio says he represents children with various speech abilities. 

6. Cookie Monster loves Chocolate Chip Cookies (we don’t blame him).

 Periwinkle also told Stinky that Cookie Monster starred in his own 007 movie.    The two tabbies stopped for a bit to hold paws and watch the movie.

Periwinkle told Stinky that she had his brother Cooper Murphy bake a cake for Cookie Monster.  

They also decorated a table for Cookie Monster

Stinky found the recipe for Cookie Monster's Famous Cookie Dough.  Neither one of the tabbies wanted to get cookie dough on their paws but they saved the recipe for another day.

"All this talk about cookies is making me hungry.  How about a snack out back?" asked Periwinkle.  Stinky said it was a good idea and, with a laugh, said "Today is National Deviled Egg Day.   Are we having Deviled Eggs?"  They both laughed so hard they had tears running down their whiskers.  They headed outside for some cat approved snacks.

After their snacks, they spent some time whisker kissing and holding paws and took a short nap.  When they woke up, Stinky said hi to Periwinkle's fursibs and her Mom and congratulated Reesie on winning the Teaserween costume contest.   Soon it was time for Stinky to head home and he blew a kiss to Periwinkle as he entered the Teleportation Tunnel and headed home.

Periwinkle looked for a sun puddle and spent some time remembering the fun they had together.
