The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

 

Periwinkle stood by the Teleportation Tunnel and could hardly contain her excitement.  It was Tuesday and that was the day she and her steady boyfriend, Stinky got to be together and have a fun adventure.  Periwinkle knew that both of them enjoyed being together so much that it didn't really matter what they did, just that they did it with each other.  She hoped he liked what she chose for today.

She heard the familiar WOOSH and out tumbled Stinky right into her paws.  As always, they spent the first few minutes whisker kissing, head bonking, and sharing paw pats.  Finally, Stinky asked what they were going to do today.  "We're hopping back into the Teleportation Tunnel and are heading to Orlando" replied Periwinkle.  "YAY, we're going to DISNEY," said Stinky.  "Sorry but no, we're not.  It's too crowded there especially with the Spring Breakers here" she said.  "We're going to a Museum!"  Stinky's face fell....ugh...a museum?  He wondered what Periwinkle was thinking about going to a boring museum.  Periwinkle grabbed his paw and told him not to worry, this was going to be fun.  Skeptical but trusting, Stinky took her paw, and off they went!

"Where are we" asked Stinky.  Periwinkle told him they were at the Museum of Illusions!  Stinky decided this might be fun after all.

Periwinkle told Stinky that nothing is as it seems here.  There are all kinds of optical illusions!

First, they went to the Ames room.   Standing in one corner you are larger than life but in the other corner, you are shrunk down.  

Next they went to the Head On a Plate room.  Stinky couldn't help but MOL when he saw Periwinkle.

They passed a couple in the Water Illusions room

and another crossing over a roof!

"Oh boy....I found one I want to try" said Stinky and off he went to the Vortex.

Periwinkle smiled.  He was so handsome and he was always surprising her!  "Hey Periwinkle, that looks like a HANDy spot to relax....how about we take a quick catnap?" said Stinky.  They both giggled at his joke.

After a quick trip to the gift shop, they headed back into the Teleportation Tunnel to go back to Periwinkle's house where they shared some Temptations and Fancy Feast.

After visiting with Periwinkle's family, it was time for Stinky to head home. This was the part they always dreaded, time for them to say goodbye until the next Tuesday.  They spent some time hugging, sharing whisker kisses and paw pats.  Stinky got into the Teleportation Tunnel, waved to Periwinkle and with a WOOOSH, he headed home.

Periwinkle wiped a tear from her eye and started wondering what fun thing they would do next week.
