ManCat Merit Monday and Wave or Wag for Forrest

As you know, Allie and I are Cat Scouts.   We had a class at Cat Scouts University about Merit Badges and our homework was to get at least one Merit Badge.  Well, I was overdue for my Long Jump Merit badge so I got right to work.  You got Karma points for a still photo as well as a video.

Notice my feet are in midair in this one!!

Here's the video I posted too...I RULE the Long Jump!

Allie wants to thank everyone for the good wishes on her engagement to Mauricio.  The Wedding will be at Cat Scouts on July 9.  Allie can't wait!!!

Tomorrow is Wave and Wag for Forrest day - we  hope many of our pals will pawticipate.

From Gentle Stitches blog:
My friend Bev probably won’t like me saying this because she isn’t one to talk about her charitable works but I will say it anyway. Bev and her husband Phil have worked tirelessly to help animals for many years often using money from their own pockets. This includes wild native Australian animals, domestic pet animals and farm animals. When Bev’s dog Forrest was called to cross the Rainbow Bridge last week I knew a tribute was in order. Bev lives in country Victoria and I in city Victoria, Australia.
I talked about it to Pam and Sammy from the blog one spoiled cat and they made my idea a reality. May 10th is the day – and it will officially be “Wag or Wave for Forrest Day” all across the blogosphere. That’s right – all of us who want to pawticipate can post a photo of us either wagging a tail or a flag or a paw to “wag or wave” in honor of Angel Forrest and show our support to his family. Isn’t that a great idea???  Sam and Pam designed this poster in honor of this special day – if you choose to post for Forrest that day, you can show this badge if you like and maybe use it as a link-up to Fozziemum’s blog so people can stop by and leave her a message???  Here’s the poster:

Thankful Thursday....Shenanigans

As  you know,Allie and Raz are Cat Scouts!  For the first time, the Denmaster posted a DEmerit Badge.

To earn the Demerit Badge you had to go by the following guidelines:

How to Claim Your Shenanigans Demerit Badge

Join the Shenanigans Walk of Shame at the Campfire anytime between now and January 6th. Walk around the campfire, strut your shame and describe the shenanigans you engaged in. And, you must vow that you are determined never to become a hooligan.i
You will get 10 demerits for your shenanigans, but you’ll make it up several times over in a couple of weeks when you have the opportunity to make New Year’s Resolutions – an opp only available to those who’ve owned up to their shenanigans!
REDEMPTION CODE: shenanigans
There are some shenanigans for which you will not receive amnesty. These include:
  • Burning down the house.
  • Using words from the Bad Word List.
  • Blaming your shenanigans on your brofurs and sisters.
  • Shenanigans you engage in while wearing your Cat Scout uniform.

I earned my Demerit Badge when I was helping Mom wrap our Secret Paws package.  I can't help myself....that wrapping paper was soooooo tempting.

I hope Santa doesn't think I'm a Hooligan.  I have to admit, I was thankful to get this off my furry chest.

ManCat Monday....Hokey Pokey

There was a new Merit Badge at Cat Scouts last week.  It was Dancing.  You could post your Sock Hop Photo, a still shot of you dancing and a video for even more points.  You could use JibJab but I decided to do my OWN video......I hope you like it.  Believe it or not, it took Mom HOURS to do this 27 second video........

Our Pal Sweet William the Scot  has a very special post today about how his city is starting a movement to create a No Kill  Nation for Cats.  Please stop by.  If you don't know Sweet William, he's a pawsome woofie.

ManCat Monday

Hi furriends!  Do you remember that a while back we were entered in the Cardwood Derby at Cat Scouts?

Allie checking everything before the Derby

GentlemanCats....start your engines....
Well....we're famous!!!  The Denmaster at Cat Scouts posted a link to a magazine that featured the Cardwood Derby.
Here's what the Denmaster posted:
The Cat Scouts’ Cardwood Derby garnered press attention this week when it was featured in an issue of #Cat Magazine. Not sold in stores, the magazine is available FREE on iTunes. The article is chock-full of photos of the entries, as well as background on the history of the event.
Download here: http://bit.ly/1cgLZCj (free!)
Mom downloaded it on her iPad and there's a great story about the Cardwood Derby and loads of pictures! There's also a nice story about the Denmaster and how Cat Scouts got started. If you're not a Scout....click HERE to go to the site.  Being a Scout is a lot of fun!!!

ManCat Monday with Cat Scout Raz

Hi everyone, Cat Scout Raz here.  I have some very exciting news!!

As you might know, our Cat Scouts Denmaster was not well and in the hospital for a week.  When she came out, there was a lot of catching up to do at the Scout camp and she also needed to do a lot of resting and healing.  As a good Denmaster, she's been working hard to catch up on things and just announced the Cat Scout of the Month for October.  Guess who it was?   If you guessed ME you would be right!!!  You can read about it HERE.

I am so honored to be Cat Scout of the Month.  I have to thank all of my Troop mates in the Worldwide Wildcats - without them I wouldn't have gotten this far.

If you haven't checked out Cat Scouts, you should.  You can email me for an invitation to join or go over to the site to join.  Girlcats can join too.  My sisfur Allie is in the Scouts and is working on her Merit Badges.  If you do join, come join the Worldwide Wildcats Troop.  It's a great bunch of Scouts lead by our pal Cat Scout Sammy from One Spoiled Cat
