Periwinkle paced back and forth as she waited for her boyfriend Stinky's arrival. After last week's fun crossover adventure with their pal Teddy and the Tuesday Teaser, she sure hoped he would like what she had planned for them this week.
WHOOOSH...and there he was. He blinked his eyes and they two tabbies ran to each other and hugged and shared whisker kisses! "Boy, I forget how powerful that teleporter is. It got me here in record time which was great since I couldn't wait to see you" said Stinky. Periwinkle told him she was watching the teleporter all morning anticipating his arrival.
"So, Periwinkle, what are we up to this week?" "I hope you don't mind but we're staying right here in my little city. Something special happens when it gets cold and I wanted to share it with you" she replied. "No need for the teleporter, Mom is going to drive us."
The two hopped into Periwinkle's Mom's car and off they went.
In a few minutes, they arrived at their destination and got out promising to call Periwinkle's Mom when they were ready to be picked up.
"Periwinkle, what are those big bumps in the water?"
Periwinkle told him that those are Manatees and they come to this canal when the ocean water gets cold. It was cold for a few nights so they came here to get warm. She showed him a sign that explained more about the Manatees.
She also showed him a sign that explained the threats Manatees face (you might need to biggify to read)
"Wow Periwinkle, I never saw anything like a Manatee. It's nice that we can get so close to them"
They even took a couple videos of the Manatees to show Stinky's family.
Before they called Periwinkle's Mom to pick them up, they took a memory photo with the Manatee sign.
When they got back to Periwinkle's house they had a snack of Fancy Feast and Temptations and soon, it was time for Stinky to go home.
"I sure had fun today! Those Manatees were really cool and super sweet to watch. Thanks Periwinkle!" said Stinky. Periwinkle was so pleased to know Stinky had fun. "You know, I always love our adventures but any time I can spend time with you is special" Periwinkle replied. As much as they hated to part, it was time for Stinky to leave. The two tabbies hugged again and shared whisker kisses and then Stinky entered the teleporter. With a WHOOSH he was gone. Periwinkle was so sad and had leaky eyes but she was happy they had such a fun time and couldn't wait for next week when they would be together again.

That is such a great story. The pictures of the manatees are just the greatest. You all have a super day.
What another fun adventure for you two. Those Manatees are pretty cool.
I'll bet those manatees are sure fun to watch!
Did you know that manatees are also called sea cows?
Those manatees are really cool. What a super fun adventure. And we learned a lot as well. We bet Stinky really enjoyed the warm weather. Unfortunately the videos would not play for us on the iPad. We will try later on the computer. Mom Sharon sure has a cute car. Mau is sending Allie oodles of smooches and love. Sawyer sends Noelle whisker kisses and purrs. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
Periwinkle and Stinky...what a fun fun adventure and lesson about Manatees!
They do look like gentle loving critters.
Y'all take the bestest trips you should open a Travel Company

OH WOW! My Mom loves manatees - used to see them in Florida when she lived there.......they are such cute animals and it makes us sad that they have to huddle togetherin the canal to keep warm when it's been cold. Hope they can swim back out where they have more room soon. Stinky and Periwinkle do the "FUNNEST" things!
Hugs, Teddy
This looks like it was such a fun adventure. That was so cool to get to see the manatees. This was pretty amazing to see them all together. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
