The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

It was Tuesday and Periwinkle paced back and forth waiting for her special guy, Stinky, to come whooshing through the Teleportation Tunnel.  She put her ear to the tunnel and heard a faint woosh and quickly stepped back just in time as Stinky came flying out!  Giggling, hugging and sharing whisker kisses the two greeted each other.

Stinky noticed that Peiwinkle seemed a bit distracted.  "Periwinkle, are you okay?  You seem distracted."   Periwinkle explained that she needed help from Stinky.  She explained that there was a lizard living in the window track and she couldn't get her paws on him.

Always ready to help Stinky said, "Let me at that lizard!"

Periwinkle showed him where the lizard was living.  Stinky agreed that the lizard would drive him crazy and they needed to do something about it.   The two tabbies looked out again as the lizard moved out of his hiding spot. "Whoa...he's pretty big" said Stinky.

That lizard was no fool!  As soon as he saw Periwinkle and Stinky he headed back to his hiding spot.

"This calls for a better strategy," said Stinky.  Periwinkle agreed but said she'd been trying for weeks and had no idea what to do.

After a while, both tabbies started to feel sleepy.  Gentlemancat that he is, Stinky offered to keep watching the lizard so Periwinkle could take a short nap.  Periwinkle got into the cozy scratcher house to take a nap.

Unfortunately, Stinky couldn't keep his eyes open and ended up joining Periwinkle for a nap.  Periwinkle was surprised but happy when she woke up to find him next to her.

"You know Stinky, I think we need to think about how to catch this guy.  How about we go outside for a snack before you have to leave for home?" said Periwinkle.  "Good idea!" replied Stinky.

After their snack and a short visit with Periwinkle's fursibs, it was time for Stinky to head home.  He promised Periwinkle that he would keep thinking of a way to get that lizard.   Periwinkle said she knew he would figure it out because he was the smartest cat she ever met.  That made Stinky blush but he was pleased that she thought that he was smart.  The two spent some time holding paws, sharing whisker kisses and hugging.  One last hug and Stinky entered the Teleportation Tunnel to head home.  This is what he saw as he left and he vowed that they would figure out how to get that lizard!!

Oh I think those two will figure out a way to get that thing! Teddy keeps the skinks around here on their toes - hasn't caught one yet BUT it's just a matter of time. Great adventure for the dynamic duo.

Hugs, Teddy

Gosh, Periwinkle and Stinky...we don't have lizards running around here, so I have no words of wisdom for you two!
Maybe it must be coaxed out with it's favorite food; a fat cricket maybe?

Will the dynamic duo ever catch a lizard or are they doomed to forever just dream about it? That definitely is a big guy, and they are going to need to come up with some better tactics than waiting for him to come to them. We know that they really have adventures just to spend time together, so maybe it is okay if that lizard remains elusive. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer with love and Smooches to Allie from Mau and whisker kisses and paw-pats to Noelle from Sawyer 🦎

I know you two won't hurt that lizard, but I'm guessing you'll have a plan to get it to move along.

I smiled when you woke up together from your nap.

Have a purrfect day and week. ♥
