Periwinkle sits at the table at her boyfriend Stinky's house to write a letter to her Mom and her fursib, Raz. Periwinkle has been staying with Mom Janet and Dad Tom and the Kitties Blue to help with the search for Stinky/Sawyer.
She looks at the framed photo of herself and Stinky and has to wipe a tear away. She misses him so much and sure wishes they could be together celebrating his return.
Slowly she starts typing her letter to her Mom and brofur Raz.
Dear Mom and Raz,
Thank you for letting me stay here with Kitties Blue and Mom Janet and Dad Tom. We are working so hard to help Stinky/Sawyer find his way home or let us find him and bring him home. Every day we get up early so Mom Janet can call him before the noises of the day start. We put out flyers, knock on doors, visit dumpsters. So far, no sign of him. We are a little discouraged but refuse to give up on him. We all love that boy so much and want him home. Every night I gather with the family and we say the prayer for a missing cat.
“Father, we ask you to help us find our dear pet who is now lost. We know that you placed animals on the earth for many reasons, including companionship for man. We therefore ask you to help us find our lost companion and pray that You will keep him safe and protect him from harm until he is found.”
We hope our prayers are answered soon. I know you and Raz are saying the prayer too.
When we are not actively searching for Stinky/Sawyer we try to get some rest. I hang out with Kizmet because I know she and Stinky/Sawyer were good buddies and she misses him.

We too are not giving up and continue to add our pawyers to the many being offered on Stinky/Sawyer's behalf.

Oh Periwinkle.....we all know how very sad you are and we are missing Sawyer and wanting him home too ASAP. I know Mom Janet appreciates you being there to help look for Sawyer. We keep hope alive in our hearts and send hugs to you and Mom Janet and Dad Tom too.

The sadness and sorrow that have come to the family are great. We want Sawyer to be food immediately. Mom and I did not know about that prayer. We are saying it and saving it. Love to Stinky and Periwinkle both.

A nearby kitty just got home yesterday after 21 days, so we still have hope. Periwinkle has been such a great help, and we know Kizmet is really pleased to have her here. Periwinkle is enjoying the fresh catnip Dad Tom cuts for the kitties. Our mom is on her way out to deliver more flyers to houses. Love to all.
