The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Pacing back and forth in front of the Teleportation Tunnel, Periwinkle went over her checklist for the day.  She wanted to make sure they were prepared because they had an important mission today.  With a loud WOOOSH, the tunnel shook and Stinky arrived landing right into her paws.   The two giggled, shared whisker kisses, and spent time catching up with each other.

Stinky asked, "are we all set for today?"  Periwinkle said they were and they both returned to the Teleportation Tunnel along with the supplies.  No sooner did they get into the tunnel than they tumbled out at their destination.  "I am always so impurressed with how well the Teleportation Tunnel works," said Stinky.

The two heard a lot of noise and pretty soon they were surrounded by loud gobbles and they could hear their names!  Yes, they were back at the turkey farm with disguises to, once again, save the turkeys!

Periwinkle pulled out their bag of disguises and the two got to work handing them out.

While they were handing out the disguises, Periwinkle told Stinky that children all over work on disguises for turkeys.  They stopped for a minute so she could show him some photos and cute cartoons with disguise ideas.

There are also lots of cute cartoons about turkey disguises.

There were loads of turkeys and everyone wanted a disguise!

As always, Periwinkle had some fun facts to share about Turkeys!
  • Turkeys are big. ...
  • Turkeys are toms or hens. ...
  • Turkeys are fast. ...
  • Turkeys are loud. ...
  • Turkeys have excellent eyesight. ...
  • The turkey was almost the national bird.

"Periwinkle, you always have the best facts to share with me" said Stinky.  Periwinkle blushed and said it was Mr. Google that helped her find fun facts.

After a while, the two gave out all their disguises and said goodbye to the turkeys.

As they prepared to step back into the Teleporation Tunnel, they noticed one of the turkeys changing the sign at the gate.

They waved goodbye to the turkeys and with a WOOOSH, they were back at Periwinkle's house.  Periwinkle's Mom drove them to the beach so they could have a picnic before Stinky had to go home.  They giggled when people looked at them because they were wearing disguises like they brought the turkeys!

While they enjoyed their snacks, they talked about the things they are thankful for.  Periwinkle went first and said she was thankful that Stinky/Sawyer came home safely from his walkabout.  "I sure was worried we would never see each other" she added.  Stinky said it was scary and he promised never to do that again.  "I'm thankful that I have a loving home and a Mom and Dad who did everything possible to make sure we came home safely" said Stinky.

Both tabbies said they were thankful that their families stayed healthy during the nasty pandemic and that, hopefully, things are getting much better.

"I'm thankful for Temptations and  Fancy Feast" said Stinky.  Periwinkle said she was too although her brofur Raz was the Treat Monster at their house.  Stinky laughed and said he was too.

"Most of all, I am thankful for YOU" said Periwinkle.  That made Stinky blush but smile because he considered himself a very lucky Mancat.  "Periwinkle, I am so thrilled that you are my girlfriend and I am thankful for our fun adventures together"

Soon it was time for Stinky to head home.  They both agreed that this was another fun day and they couldn't wait for next week.   With a WOOOSH, Stinky headed home laughing because he was wearing his disguise and he wondered if his Mom and Dad and fursibs would recognize him.

Periwinkle, still wearing her disguise, found a sunpuddle and took a nap dreaming of her boyfriend.

What a GREAT idea to visit a turkey farm and hand out disguises - maybe they fooled the humans looking for their Thanksgiving turkey??!! Let's hope so.

Hugs, Teddy

WoW! You sure know how to help out the turkeys! We have some wild turkeys around here and they are big and loud and a little frightening to us cats. We can't imagine what being around a whole flock of domestic ones were like, you guys must be brave. We LOVE the disguises though and the jokes! And we had a whole bunch of fun with you on your adventure today - THANK YOU!!!
