The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle paced back and forth in front of the Teleportation Tunnel.  She hoped Stinky would be on time because they had a lot to do today.  She didn't have to worry, at exactly the appointed time the Tunnel began to shake.  There was a loud WOOSH and Stinky landed right in her waiting arms.  They giggled and whisker kissed and spent time paw patting and catching up on the past week.

Stinky turned around, saw Reesie, and said "I know what we're doing today!"

Periwinkle laughed and told him she knew he would figure it out when he saw all the decorations!  "Easter is in less than two weeks and Mom asked if we could help decorate.  I hope you don't mind."  Stinky said he was always happy to help and they set out on their mission.

They decided to sort through things, each taking a separate area to decorate.  Stinky thought it was cool that Periwinkle's Mom colored eggs.  They both agreed they would NOT want to get egg coloring on their furs.

Periwinkle decided to separate the lights and garland...

Stinky put the lights and the eggs on the divider.  He couldn't resist whapping a couple eggs on the floor.  Periwinkle rolled her eyes but didn't say anything since at least they were plastic and wouldn't make a mess.

"Wow, your Mom sure has a lot of bunnies," said Stinky.

Together, the tabbies found places for the bunnies...

Always the climber, Stinky decided to decorate the trees on the entertainment center.  He gathered the eggs and jumped up to start decorating.

Periwinkle worked on the side table...

and put daffodils in the Friends FurEver vase by the fireplace...

Together, they decorated the fireplace...

Next, the two went outside (after getting purrmission from Periwinkle's Mom) and put out the Easter flags.

Coming back into the house, Stinky ran off and Periwinkle knew where he was headed.  "Hey Periwinkle, you can really appreciate the decorations from up here" said Stinky.  Periwinkle shook her head but was happy he didn't climb up somewhere dangerous.  Stinky came down quickly because he didn't want to upset Periwinkle.  Periwinkle told him that her brofur, Angel Raz, always went up there.  "Mom called that his bachelor pad" she added.

After decorating, they took a break and had a snack of Temptations.  They talked about their Easter plans and about their little cottage.

When they finished their snack, they found a good spot for a nap and spent time whisker kissing and paw patting before they fell asleep.  When they woke up, it was almost time for Stinky to go home.  "Can we go out and look at our garden?" he asked.  Of course, Periwinkle said yes.

Stinky was amazed at how things had grown since his last visit.  They had large tomatoes...

Pepper plants were starting to grow...

The raised bed was doing great.  The eggplants were getting very big and Periwinkle said her Mom had a few salads from the lettuce and arugula.

All too soon, it was time for Stinky to go home.  He blew one last whisker kiss and, with a WOOSH, headed home.

Later that evening, Periwinkle took a photo of the lights and the little trees and texted it to Stinky.  Both tabbies fell asleep holding their cell phones so they could feel closer together.

The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle nervously paced back and forth in front of the Teleportation Tunnel.  She hoped Stinky would enjoy their day together even though she only had a couple of things planned.  As always, she checked her furs to make sure she looked as nice as possible before Stinky's arrival.  The familiar rumble and WOOSH sent him flying right into her waiting paws.  The tabbies spent some time whisker kissing and paw patting and catching up on the previous week when, as expected, Stinky asked what the plan was for the day.

"I have a couple things planned for today but first we're heading to the beach so I can show you the beach restoration.  There are all kinds of big trucks and machinery that I thought you would like to see as long as your promise NOT to get into trouble."  Blushing because he knew he had a tendency to get into trouble, Stinky promised so the two headed off to the beach.

Stinky was in awe of the large equipment (as Periwinkle knew he would be)  She reminded him of his promise to behave.   First they watched the surveyor measure the mean low water.  Periwinkle explained that the storms of the previous years had taken away a lot of the sand and this project was to help bring it back.

Periwinkle showed Stinky a graphic that explained how the sand was being replenished.

Stinky looked upset and said "What about the turtles that come to nest?  Won't they be hurt?"  Periwinkle explained that the replenishment would stop when turtle season started or if a nest was spotted.  Stinky looked relieved.

Of course, Stinky had to check out the big machines...

Periwinkle was relieved that he did not get into trouble and only went as close as the workers would allow him.  They took a short video to show how things were being done...

Worried that Stinky would not be able to control himself and get into trouble, Periwinkle suggested they return to her house and she would show him more about the beach replenishment AND they could check out the Easter decorations and enjoy a snack.

Back at the house she led him to the laptop and they read about the project.  Click HERE to see what they read.

Eager to check out the decorations (and unable to keep himself from climbing) Stinky headed right up to see the bunnies on the entertainment center.

Periwinkle rolled her eyes but secretly was proud of him for showing such control around the big machines

Periwinkle showed him the Bunny nutcracker....

and the easter egg lights on the divider.  She held her breath wondering if he was going to whap them but he didn't!

As was their tradition, they took a selfie with the bunny...

They were both hungry and Periwinkle's Mom served them a snack.

"This was a fun adventure," said Stinky.  "Well, there is one more thing I would like to share with our friends even though it's not a fun thing it's impawtent" said Periwinkle.

Periwinkle continued, "Today is Purple Day which is a day to increase awareness about Epilepsy.  I thought it would be nice to share a link to the Five Sibes Purple day to increase awareness about Canine epilepsy.  As our readers know, your fursib Sawyer has feline epilepsy and people need to know that we pets can have it too.  My fursib Angel Raz had a couple of seizures and we were all very frightened when that happened.  We're purring and praying that nobody, human or pet, has to have this awful disease.

Soon it was time for Stinky to head home.  The tabbies spent some time whisker kissing and paw patting and then Stinky headed into the Teleportation Tunnel to head home.  He blew one last kiss and, wish a WOOOSH, headed home.

Periwinkle went off to find her fursibs and tell them about her day at the beach!

The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

Periwinkle got up early that morning so she could spend extra time grooming her furs since today was the day her special boyfriend, Stinky, was coming to visit.  She hoped he liked what she had planned even though it wasn't super exciting.

Suddenly the Teleportation Tunnel started to shake and, with a loud WOOSH, Stinky tumbled out and landed right in her paws.  The two giggled and shared whisker kisses and paw pats.  Stinky looked at Periwinkle and told her she looked exceptionally beautiful today.  Periwinkle blushed and thanked him and told him he looked handsome, as always.  Stinky smiled and was secretly pleased since he also spent extra time grooming that morning.

"What are we doing today?" asked Stinky.  Periwinkle told him they were staying at her house to help her Mom.   Stinky looked a bit disappointed but took Periwinkle's paw and told her anything they did together would be purrfect.

"We're going to help Mom put up the Easter Decorations today" said Periwinkle.  Stinky always enjoyed helping out so they got started right away.

They put some flowers by the fireplace.  Always observant, Stinky noticed that the watering can the flowers were in said Friends FurEver.  He thought that was pretty cool.

They also put lights and decorations on the mantle.

Stinky was disappointed he wouldn't be there at night to see them lit up.

They put bunny stuffies all over, including in the big cat tree by the window.

After they put bunnies on the entertainment center, Periwinkle handed Stinky bunny ears (Blue because he was a boy and a Kitties Blue)  and they went up and sat among the bunnies.  "Do you think anybody will notice us?" asked Stinky.  They started laughing because they were silly-looking bunnies.

They sat down on the sofa with some other stuffies.  "Your Mom sure has a lot of bunny stuffies" said Stinky.  Periwinkle agreed and said the only thing she had more of were cat stuffies.  Both agreed that that made a lot of sense.

"Periwinkle, what happened here?  This doesn't look very nice" said Stinky.  Periwinkle explained that it did look nice but the other night they heard a loud crash and her fursib, Reesie, had grabbed the Easter tree and dragged it to the floor.

"Mom had it all decorated nicely and then it became a tangled mess after Reesie was done with it"  They both exclaimed... "Thank COD it wasn't one of us"

They put out the metal bunny and took a photo with him.

Stinky jumped on the divider and wanted to know if it was okay to whap the eggs there to which Periwinkle said "Absolutely NOT"

The two tabbies were getting tired and Periwinkle said they had something else to do before they had a snack.   They were going to color some Easter pages!

"How pawsome to have pages with a cat on them to color," said Stinky.  Periwinkle agreed.

When they were done they decided it was time to have a snack of Fancy Feast.

After their snack, they found a sun puddle to take a quick nap in.  When they woke up, Stinky spent some time visiting with Periwinkle's Mom and fursibs.  After some whisker kisses and paw pats, they knew it was time for Stinky to go home. "I had fun decorating with you today," said Stinky.  Periwinkle was glad he wasn't bored and sad that he had to leave.  "I can't wait for next week," they both said at the same time which made them giggle.  Wish a WOOSH and after blowing a kiss to Periwinkle,  Stinky headed home and Periwinkle put on her bunny ears and snuggled with the bunnies on the sofa while she thought of her boyfriend.
