The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

 

Periwinkle was at the Teleportation Tunnel entrance eagerly awaiting the arrival of her boyfriend, Stinky.  She hoped he would like what she planned for today.  They always had fun together no matter what they did.

With the familiar WOOOSH, out tumbled Stinky and Periwinkle ran to catch him.  They shared whisker kisses and paw pats and caught each other up on the past week (including Christmas).  Always ready to have an adventure, Stinky asked where they were going and Periwinkle saw the disappointed look on his face when she said they were staying at her house.  "We've all been so busy with the holiday, I thought it would be nice to snuggle together and look at photos of all the fun things we've done together this year," said Periwinkle.  The idea of snuggling sounded great to Stinky so he said he thought it was a great idea.

The Two sat down and held paws and started remembering things they did during the year.  "Remember the Museum of Illusions and the Crayola Experience in Orlando?  They were both cool places: said Stinky.

 Periwinkle reminded him that they also went to the Pirates of the Caribbean for Pirates day.  They agreed that that was a fun experience too.

"We had fun celebrating Cookie Monster's birthday with him too" said Stinky.

"Speaking of birthdays", said Stinky, "remember the party you threw for me?"

Periwinkle reminded him that it wasn't all fun since there was the infamous Walkabout.

"I remember going to your house to help in the search."  

Stinky looked down and said he promised there would never be another walkabout since he knew how worried everyone was and he missed them all.

"We stayed near my house for a lot of our adventures too" said Periwinkle

"We also shared important information with our friends like hurricane preparedness, back to school information and Earth Day," added Stinky.

Both tabbies smiled when they remembered visits with old friends like Walter and the Black Cats and the turkeys.

They were also glad that they got to be the ones to introduce Periwinkle's new sisfur, Reesie to their blogging friends.

Periwinkle giggled when she remembered their last Adventure at her house when Stinky climbed up on the huge reindeer!

"All of this reminiscing is making me hungry" said Stinky.  Periwinkle handed him a change of clothes and he quickly jumped into his formal attire so they could have a pre-New Year's lunch together.  Periwinkle told Stinky he looked very handsome which made him blush but he was happy she thought so.  "You look very pretty in your fancy dress" he said which made her blush.   

After lunch, the two headed over to the Christmas tree and the winter house scratcher Sawyer gave Noelle for Christmas.  They held paws, shared whisker kisses and took a nice, long nap.

When they woke up, it was time for Stinky to head home.  They agreed that looking back at some of their adventures was a lot of fun.  Of course, they had lots more but there wasn't enough time to share all of them.  They took a moment to make a New Year's Card for their friends.

 Stinky entered the Teleportation Tunnel, blew a kiss to Perwinkle and said Happy New Year and, with a WOOSH, was on his way home.  Periwinkle went back to the winter house scratcher and took another nap dreaming of her special guy.

Happy New Year and Friendly Fill-ins and Pet Photo Fails

Happy New Year!  We hope 2021 is a happy and healthy one for everyone!!

1. My focus word for 2021 is _CALM!____.

2. I didn’t get to  have in-person visits with my GAL kids or attend court other than virtual___ this year, but I hope to in 2021.

3. The year 2020 taught me _you really never know what's coming next.

4. _Letting go of worry and anxiety__ is one of my biggest goals for 2021.

Since the usual date for Pet Photo Fails was Christmas, we're posting ours today.

This photo of Noelle with the fortune cookies our pal Teddy sent us for Christmas would have been a good one if you could actually see her face clearly!  She sure enjoyed that toy though!  Thanks Teddy!

The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky

 

Periwinkle woke up early that morning and was so excited. It was Tuesday and her boyfriend, Stinky would be at her house soon for their last Adventure of 2020.  She kept going back to the Teleportation Tunnel to hear that familiar WOOOSH and all of a sudden she heard it with just enough time to hop back before Stinky barreled out and into her waiting paws.

The two spent some time sharing whisker kisses and headbonks and snuggling.  Periwinkle stood up and looked at Stinky and said "I'm so glad you dressed up today!  You look sooooo handsome!"  Stinky blushed and asked why she wanted him to dress up.  Periwinkle replied that New Year's Eve was in two days and they wouldn't be together but she thought it would be fun to have a pre-New Year's Eve together.  "We've had so many fun adventures this year, it would be fun to reminisce," said Periwinkle.  Both agreed that 2020 had a lot of BAD things happen.  Periwinkle and Stinky both shed tears and held paws when they thought of their fursibs, Angel Mauricio and Angel Allie who left for the Bridge this year.  Stinky also said they should send purrs to all those who lost someone to that awful Covid and to those who are ill from it.  The Tabbies both bowed their heads and purred loudly for all the humans.

"Remember last New Year's when we went to New York to watch the ball come down?" said Periwinkle.  What a fun time that was.  Too bad it will not be the same this year because of Covid.  They both smiled when they remembered riding up on the ball together.

Stinky reminded Periwinkle of the fun they had chasing the lizards at her house.

Stinky said "Remember when we met up with Teddy and went to Camp Bacon?  That was a delicious adventure!"

Both agreed that visiting the Space Center....

and the Wildlife Refuge were super fun.

Giggling as they remembered, they agreed that Holiday adventures were fun too!  Like Mardi Gras when they went to Cafe du Monde.

and Cinco de Mayo.

Of course, they both said how much they enjoyed visiting Walter and the Black Cats for Halloween.

Periwinkle blushed and said "You know which holiday was my favorite?   Valentine's Day because it's romantic and I got to spend it with YOU"  which, of course, made Stinky blush again.

"That Fancy Feast looks good, why don't we have a snack while we remember other fun things we did this year?" said Periwinkle.

After some time snuggling, whisker kissing and headbonking, it was time for Stinky to head home.  He wished Raz and Periwinkle's Mom a Happy New Year.  Then he hopped into the Teleportation Tunnel and, blowing a kiss to Periwinkle, was on his way home.  Both tabbies started looking forward to their new adventures in 2021!
