The biggest THANKFUL for today is we're VERY Thankful that our sweet ManCat Angel Raz joined our family 11 years ago!! Even though he is at the Rainbow Bridge now we will always celebrate the day he joined our family.

Hi from the Rainbow Bridge.Do you know that today is a special day for me? As you might have figured out - today is my 11th Gotcha Day!! November 3, 2012, I was lucky enough to become a Florida Furkid. Here's the first photo my Mom took of me.....Impurressive, right? That's another one of my brothers in the cage with me. Don't worry, both of them got adopted at the next event. What you probably don't know is that my other brother (the one you don't see) was the one Mom came to adopt. He pooped in his PTU and had to be cleaned up. I took advantage and won Mom's heart. I guess PTU pooping runs in the family! MOL

Perwinkle was napping under a sun puddle and dreaming of her boyfriend Stinky. WAIT! WHAT? WHY WASN'T SHE AT THE TELEPORTATION TUNNEL??? Did she forget it's Tuesday??? No worries. All is well. Periwinkle and Stinky got special purrmission from their parents to have their adventure yesterday but promised to wait till today to share it with you.
Flashback to yesterday:
Periwinkle waited at the Teleportation Tunnel for her special guy to arrive. She heard a little rumble and then the WOOSH and he flew out right into her paws. As always, they spent time whisker kissing, paw patting, and just catching up with each other. When he looked around, Stinky gasped "OMC I see PTUs out...are we going to the VET???????? Periwinkle chuckled and said they were not and it was all part of why he was here on a Monday.
Stinky said he did wonder why he was at Periwinkle's house a day early. "Today is the Feast of St Francis and you and I and Raz and Reesie are going to the Blessing of the Pets." Stinky was excited since they never did anything like this before. They all piled in Mom Sharon's car and headed to Patrick Air Force Base St George Catholic Community to be blessed.
Stinky hopped into the car to check on Raz and Reesie and to make sure they were comfortable and secure.
When he was satisfied they were okay, he got into the back seat with Periwinkle and they both buckled up for the ride.
On the way, Periwinkle told Stinky a little about the history of the blessing of the animals. "Animal lovers around the planet will gather today for annual services of the Blessing of the Animals, a custom originating in the 13th century, attributed to St. Francis of Assisi, who held a great sense of care and respect for each creature." Periwinkle also explained that because of that nasty virus, this year would be different and would be a drive-up blessing.
As they pulled up they watched as other pets got their blessings. There was a cool woofie in front of them.
When it was their turn, Periwinkle's Mom introduced them all to Father Red and he did the blessing and put a cross in Holy Water on their carriers.
They also got very nice St. Francis medals. It was cool because one side was for woofies and the other was for kitties!
As they headed back to Periwinkle's house, Stinky started scritching up his nose and finally said "Periwinkle, I smell something VERY BAD." Perwinkle laughed so hard she almost fell out of her seatbelt. "Stinky, I am pretty sure my brofur Raz has kept his title as a PTU Pooper." The two tabbies started to giggle and pinch their noses with their paws and giggle even harder (much to Raz's dismay).
When they got back to Periwinkle's house, the two couldn't wait to go outside for snacks and to get away from Mr. Smellybutt (aka Raz) who needed a butt bath.
After their snacks, the two felt it was safe to go back inside the house without having to use clothespins for their noses and they watched some videos from other Blessings a few years ago.

Soon it was time for Stinky to leave for home. The two spent some time whisker kissing, paw patting, and just holding paws. They both agreed that (other than Raz's accident) it was a fun day. "It will sure be strange not being with you on Tuesday, but I am glad we got to go to the Blessing together," said Stinky. Periwinkle agreed and, with a WOOOSH, he was off for home.
