The Adventures of Periwinkle and Stinky
Periwinkle was so excited! It was Tuesday and that meant her boyfriend Stinky would soon be arriving. She stood as close to the Teleportation Tunnel as she could so she could hear when he was on his way. WOOSH...she jumped back and there he was. Stinky bounced out of the Tunnel and right into Periwinkle's arms. They spent some time snuggling, headbonking and sharing whisker kisses. It always seemed like years since they last saw each other.
"Periwinkle, I'm glad you told me to bring my coat! Who knew it would be so cold here in Florida?" said Stinky. Periwinkle told him they would be staying indoors so he could take off his coat. She handed him a Santa hat and the two put them on and giggled when they saw each other!
Stinky asked "So what's on the agenda for today? I know we need to be really GOOD because Santa is watching. I'm so glad we got to write our letters to him so he could get them in time. I sure hope we both get what we asked for."
Today I wanted to show you all the decorations Mom put up here at our house. We're ready for the big guy in the red suit!
First, she showed him the big tree in the living room. "Boy, look at all the cat ornaments on this tree," said Stinky.
On to the Christmas houses. They had to be super careful so they didn't knock anything down (although the urge to whap was hard to control).
Next Periwinkle showed Stinky the nativity
....
They took a photo with the nutcrackers...
"Hey Periwinkle, do you think anyone will be able to find us among all these snowmen?" asked Stinky. They both giggled again.
Periwinkle said she thought they should stop and have a snack. "Whoa....isn't it too cold outside?" asked Stinky. "We're going to stay inside and eat at the dining room table so we can look at all the decorations," said Periwinkle. Stinky agreed that Periwinkle's idea was a good one. They both enjoyed their Fancy Feast and reminisced about last year when they visited the tree farm.
"The best part of the Tree farm was when we got to ride in the sleigh. I loved being able to snuggle together" said Periwinkle. Stinky blushed...that was his favorite part too.
After their snack, they were both sleepy so they decided to take a quick nap in the Christmas bed under the tree.
With a WOOSH, he was gone but not before throwing one more kiss to Periwinkle. Periwinkle decided to return to the Christmas bed to have another nap and dream of Stinky and start counting the days till next Tuesday.

We're THANKFUL that all our friends and family are still doing okay in spite of the evil virus. We're also THANKFUL that, as far as we know, Santa hasn't seen us doing anything naughty! One more THANKFUL - Mom got up early enough to be one of two first to comment on Teddy's Tuesday Teaser!

Welcome to Sparks. Many years ago, it was my intent to post an inspirational thought each Monday. It would be my weekly meditation, and perhaps feed other people's spirit as well. Life got busy, and this fell by the wayside. Now, I feel a strong need to bring this feature back.
The negative energy in the world has become thick and oppressive. Social media has become a part of this dark, negative storm. There is an obvious universal need for more positive energy and peace. And, we can all be part of this affirmative change.
I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!
